i really like the aesthetic... but i think it may be a bit much for a child's party. it feels very dark to me (in mood, not color). again, i really like it. just not for a young child.

do you think if the grey type was a different (brighter, happier) color that it would help it look more youthful?

I was thinking the same thing, I think if you removed the texture behind the color that might help.

I think it is the distressing on the tent that is making it feel so dark. Any way to apply the texture in white and then brighten the large text? Maybe in a contrasting green?

great idea. white texture is exactly what i am playing with right now. thanks for the suggestion, kelly :). some suggested that i take away the texture, but i think it needs at least some texture....otherwise it looks very plain (which, i am all for simplicity and clean designs and usually go in that direction, but i don't think it would work here for some reason). also, i want it to convey a feeling of the "old circus" days. i will repost an update soon.
