super sweet idea to layer tape on top! LOVE the tape stripes and dot b/g! one suggestion... since the shadow behind the pic is giving a more real-ish depth to the layering, the tape being opaque on the stripe, and then completely invisible b/t each stripe feels a little more abstract. you might try a box of semi-sheer white behind the tape stripes that still allows the photo to show through (and even consider a bit of texture/mottling) to give a washi paper tape effect. seeing the diagonal stripe it is a great ref to washi already. easy to search for inspiration of it on etsy if that's helpful.
