We all read from left to right, that being said I first read this as" Date 19 the June Save 09" until I looked at it some more and finally got the message. I think you need to find a solution to separating these two phrases... maybe a very thin vertical rule or maybe "Save the Date" is all navy blue and "19 June 09" is all green. I think the checkerboard effect with the color placement makes the message confusing.

I think this is brilliantly simple. a modern clean design with sophisticated whimsy, just like the couple. very clear and easy to read. Fab.

Very fresh, contemporary and modern. I'd love to see it using that same blue color but replacing the green with a teal since our wedding colors are off this Dale Chihuly glass at the museum: http://collections.kemperart.org/VieO214$33*466353 I also agree with the confusion on the date numbers of "19" / "09". If there was some sort of design element to make this clear, I think it could be really great. Overall, I love and appreciate the simplicity. It feels clean yet still sophisticated. Thanks!!! -Amy
