comments from Kristy:

An elegant take on my previous version of Tying the Knot which combines the colors of Aly and Joey's wedding, easily exchangable for any color choices.

At first I was a put off by the rope - I think the way that it is presented as very strong image, it took me a second before I got 'Tying the knot', and then I liked it more conceptually. Perhaps if the rope was a softer brown shade, the Ranch side would come through a little more, and I don't think it would lose any of its formality.

I like the stark contrast, but the rope either could be a little subtler in terms of thickness or color.

I made the rope lighter in color and slightly smaller. I did play around with the browns, but I really like the contrast of the black and white overall. I also switched the text around so that 'tying the knot' is at the top, hopefully making it easier for people to understand.

I really like this idea...I'm wondering how it might look if the knot picture were flipped over so that the knot looks like a heart...it could possibly give even more meaning to the image.

I would've entered this change as a new design but ran out of time! A pretty drastic change from the first, but much more elegant. Better or worse?

Kristy, I really like this one -very elegant! I really like the original design, too, and I think both of them were equally strong. This design is sweet, simple, and sophisticated - very nice :)
