comments from Mandy:

This bold modern design was based on Vanessa's love for hot pink and also because she's a hair stylist which closely relates to the fashion world.

i feel like the colors are SO bold that it detracts from the photo. also, many parents may not have a professional b&w photo so i wonder how this would look with just a color snapshot?

Any photo is easily changable to black and white so I don't think that's an issue. This design reminds me of the crazy hair stylist sister on Ugly Betty. :) Is is possible to make the photo larger so it's not quite so overpowered by the design?

As bold and bright as this may look in RGB mode, we all know that a 4CP orange and pink are not going to translate anywhere near as bright as they do here. That being said the colors will not overwhelm the sweet little photo.

I think it might just be all the parts of the design as a whole that are detracting from the photo. The baby just doesn't command attention here

I disagree, I look at the baby first with the coaxing of the art of the flower. Nice work Mandy.

I like the dramatic color, and to me the photo holds its own as it is at the focal point of the floral design. What could use more oomph is type - size? weight? placement? maybe black instead of color?
