again?? I didn't get the first notice. I'll work on the design some more but I'm sure I'm not the only one to NOT include this info on their designs. Plus, some new parents may not feel the need for all the details, especially on a modern design. It will allow for some choices as well. Thanks though. Does anyone have any other thoughts on the matter?

Granted I've not yet had a child, but I never really understood the importance of including the stats..unless they're something absolutely ridiculous and worth bragging about. :)

Adding my 2 cents here . . . but when I designed birth announcements for my daughter, I did not list her birth stats. And you would not believe the grief I got about it! People thought there was something wrong with her! It just didn't seem important to me but people really want to know this stuff. I think you could add it rather easily and not ruin the look. - Cool design btw!

thanks Giana, Joe & Kerry for the input. I guess I've still got some time to think about how I want to do it.

some people refer to the birth weight and length when buying a gift... if it's clothing.

I would agree - it's very common for people to have stats - without it, consumers may be less interested in buying that design. I think you have a good concept here, and font is perfect.

Yep, stats are very important...those are the very 1st questions a new parent is asked. Without them, the announcements don't look complete or done in a hurry and it was forgotten.

I don't know if I agree about the stats. Traditional (non-photo) announcements center around the stats, but now that photo announcements are becoming so popular I think many recipients are most interested in the baby's name and the photo. Parents can include as little or as much information as they want. Obviously, there are a lot of people who disagree, but I thought I would add my two cents.
