Hi! I like A. Maybe vertically center the text in the white space? :)

I like the balance and white space in A too! My suggestion would be to move the second line down just a teeny tiny bit. There seems to be just a bit of tension between "The Connolly Family" and the edges of the "y"s above it.

I like the vertical format in A. I think the text would feel better if you added some leading. With all the white space around your copy, adding a little air between your text lines will make it feel more cohesive with the background.

I think C with the dark text looks best to me. I wonder if the background were a little more transparent how that would look? You may not need the grass under his hooves. Great drawing!!!!

I like the brown type as well. I don't think the type looks awkwardly placed or anything, but it might be worth trying the type at the top right, and the bottom right (right justified perhaps) …just to see if it can get even better :)

I love the watercolor background and all the airy space that gives... but I wonder if a vertical layout with the words on top might work better?

Love the deer! Agree with michelle. Maybe the background could be mostly white to represent more of a snowy/winter feeling. I like the brown text with the drawing.

I like C. I would try the type down and to the right just a little bit. :)

Ok here are two options considering all of the great feedback! Thank you everyone - just didn't want to end the poll quite yet.

This is really great! I like the portrait orientation with the white background. Maybe try to have the watercolor just surround the deer and leave the rest white with the sentiment above it so it's nice and clear.

I love the horizontal one of the new options. The color and placement feels great. And now my eye goes to the type pairing... I like the contrast in weight, but I feel like Caviar Dreams doesn't really want to be supporting cast so it's competing a bit. You could try all caps for "The Connolly Family," but I think a different font pairing might be the better option.

I LOVE THIS DEER! I adore the simplicity of this. It is so sweet. I actually saw a fawn crossing the road today. This reminded me of it. The only thing I would suggest is possibly changing the text color to the green from the grass or a softer shade of the brown from the deer. It is just ever so slightly hard to see against the blue, but I love the blue!! Beautiful!

I like the watercolor deer, but then I was lost as to what to do with the layout. Any help is appreciated!
