I went with B because the larger "Merry Christmas" is easier to red. Although I like the family name on A without the white behind it….so maybe a hybrid? You could even increase the stroke a bit on the Merry Christmas on B if you wanted :)

A for me. I like the contrast of the whiter photo with the black text. Like the simplicity of the name without the stroke behind it. Nice!

I like b with the larger text and white behind family name. I think you might need to add a stroke to merry christmas to make it a little bolder. Have you tried making the text a color?

I personally like A better. Although I do think the Merry Christmas could be a tad larger but not as big as B - maybe all on the same line?
