I can see this being used for an outside event. The kind with hanging paper lanterns and big apothecary jars full of lemonade (with mint!). Use a polished river stone to hold the menu down on the plate. It is so simple and direct, and not over-wrought with flourishes, yet it still looks purposeful and designed.

I love Alex's idea on how it could be used for a simple garden theme-- I agree!

Love this. I love typewriters!! This would look great on kraft paper, maybe letterpressed.

I do like thise design's minimal style but I just think it's a stretch for spring garden. And no, I don't think it has to be full of flourishes and flowers either.

if i were to have a spring garden wedding it would be super vintage, slightly english, and completely centered around the baby blue typewriter being used as my guest book. yes there would be hanging paper lanterns and jars full of lemonade (indeed with mint alex). i just didn't want the menu to compete with the surroundings or the food. i do understand where you are coming from kerry, but i still think this flies for spring garden ... in my mind at least. thanks for all of the comments and kate yes to letterpress on kraft paper!

I certainly see your perspective . . . it was simply my opinion and nothing more. I guess I'm more traditional than I thought ; )
