Jill, thanks for your input. I have completely reworked this design to where it shouldn't necessarily come across as hunting. It definitely may be more of southern thing.

I really liked these designs when I first saw them, but now I am wondering... are the deer supposed to be in the sights of a gun? Like a hunting theme? Is hunting a theme for 4 year old birthdays? Do 4 year olds hunt? I personally like option B the best, but my suggestion would be to loose the circle, make the top 2/3 (from BROOKS up) all the wood grain and leave the deer silhouette. Basically just get rid of the implied gun site. It might just be a culture thing, but I don't think guns and hunting mix well with a four year old's birthday invitation. Could just be my different perspective from yours though.

Really cute idea, Leila:) I'd maybe try adding some subtle texture to the background (like a wood grain, etc.) and possibly adding a third color (like a red or orange) or choosing a new color palette that has a more outdoor-sy feel to match your fun theme.
