Hi! This is the very first time I am putting my work on Minted. In fact, this is the first time I have the courage to share my work with the public. I'm a second year Graphic Design student and any feedback would be much appreciated to help me learn and grow more. Thanks!

Adorable! I enjoy this design. The color palette is fantastic. I think the only thing I would change is the font color of the white text. It is too hard to see. I would love to see that the same blush color as the the other text. Other than that, great job.

Laura, took your advice on adding a stroke to the white text. Thanks for your feedback, I'm really looking forward to learning & growing. :)

B for me, the name in coral really pops! I would try adding a .1 stroke to the white text to help it read more clearly against the dark background. Welcome to Minted, and congrats on putting your first piece of work 'out there' :) I learned so much from Minted and am sure you will as well!

Welcome to Minted Melissa! This so calming,if you don't mind, how about repeating the pretty coral color in the copy, maybe with the child's name. Try it out & see how it looks or wait what others have to say :) Good Luck!

This is a great start Melissa, welcome to Minted! I love your choice of colors in this design. I would suggest that you probably try this in a vertical format though ... this category of cards contains a lot of information and should have more room. That way your information gets some space and you can have a more even space at the top of the photo to include your 'verse', all without taking away from your photograph. Only a suggestion, you can do a poll and have everyone vote.

I like the orange. I agree with Oma about trying the design in a vertical format; I think it will give you more breathing room. Mea Culpa is a nice font, but I'm not sure about Didot. A sans serif font might complement Mea Culpa better in this case, improving readability and give a cleaner look.

Hi Melissa, welcome to Minted:) I like the really love the orange but maybe make it just a hint more peach to soften? I also agree that the type seems a bit too cramped. Perhaps try a vertical layout like Oma suggested so that you can have more space between the lines and enlarge the name to make it pop. I'd also track out the spacing of your letters (in your serif, all caps font) just a bit too. Great start!!
