Nothing wrong with monochrome. But maybe try bringing in another font. Maybe to draw attention to the names? Just a thought!

I do agree with Jordan. I would suggest since you're going for simplistic ... a more modern and clean font like Futura etc ... should go for the details. Also, I do think a vertical/rectangular format would be better suited to your layout.

I agree with Jordan and Oma. I think another font would give more interest. A rectangle layout would also give more uniformity to the spacing on all four sides between the text and border.
