Newbie here! Too "white" in the middle? Any comments warmly welcomed.

I'm a newbie as well (Well, signed up 6 months ago, but first submissions were made this challenge)! This design definitely stands out in a lineup. Maybe try another color in the middle, something light though, and/or textured to give it more of a vintage feel?

Thanks for that Liz — going to try a light texture I think :)

There is no such thing as too much white space! I like the spacing you have. I'd actually simplify the outside background even more.

I think the amount of white space is great - it's just such a harsh contrast from the dark & detailed border. Maybe get rid of the outer border area and let the white frame be the outermost edge? I think that would keep the vintage feel, but look a bit more balanced.

You could try an off white/paperwhite. Try a light grey like in the border, or add some more distress to the text! Welcome to minted from another newbie!!
