comments from KARIDY:

This children's room decor evokes the feeling of summer camp and the great outdoors. Wrap yourself (and your little one) in a warm wool blanket, build a fire, and toast some marshmallows! Any little adventure seeker would love a room like this.

Is the revision for "the great outdoors" looking a little more cohesive? Feedback is greatly appreciated :)

Thanks for the suggestion, Adriane. I tried thirsty rough for the N, but still think I prefer Bergamot.

Loving your teepee/camp Karidy ... I'm just not sure your pattern for the letter panel fits. My attention goes straight to it, maybe you could do an alternative pattern (something to continue your woodsy theme) eg. maybe leaves or a campfire etc... and get the other designers opinions. Great work though!

I love the plaid, please don't lose it, but you might either want to change the plaid color palette or subtly incorporate it into the main sign.

The large sign is great, the camping/teepee is concept is fun and all the signs are well executed. Try more Native American or camping icons such as an arrowhead or campfire rather than the North American blanket textures (even thought I love these textures they seen out of place).

So cute! I love the plaid, I just might add another color to tie it in more. What about putting the letter on the striped flag? Just suggestions.....I think it looks great and I love the textures!

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for all your great comments! My concept for this room decor is not just a Native American design, but more of a 1950's kitchy/retro camping experience. (Like a summer camp where you learn to build fires, make arrows, snuggle up in wool blankets, and paddle on a lake in wooden canoes.) I'm not sure if there are camps like this anymore, but a girl can dream :) That's why I chose to use the American wool blanket texture on the flags and why I didn't want to go overboard on the Native American elements. I just wanted a sprinkling of them throughout. I've tried using different colors for the first letter flag but really like the dark punch of color in the red and black. I've also tried placing the letter on the second flag and wasn't pleased with that, either. I think I'll try reworking the second flag by changing up the colors a bit (make it a little darker so that there's not as much of a difference in values between it and the red/black flag). Thanks again for all your suggestions!

Love this, so adorable! For the letter flag maybe try out the Thirsty Rough for the "N"? I thought it might look neat with the plaid. Great work!
