I like the color, soft, calm and easy to write over. Maybe the type could be a little stronger, a slightly darker color.

What about making the grass paper color/white? And Making the background a different color like a cool blue. Also I think this would look better with a more traditional font.

Very nice! I agree, try making the grass either white or a very very pale color and keep the type in grey. That way the background will allow a hand written note to be read easily and the name at the bottom will pop more.
