What do you think about the light teal accent? Would the design work better in shades of gray with no accent color?

I went back to the design with a teal accent, I think it stands out a bit better in the voting gallery. If this design is chosen the all gray version could be a color option, and this warm brown/sepia/orange version below!

Here's a version with all gray (see version 2 for a light teal accent color). I still use triangles at the dates in this all gray version, they are just white. What do you guys think?

The teal accent color is helpful to the design.

I like the triangles. Since the squares alternate in color, I think the triangles are helpful in creating a sense of consistency for the placement of the dates.

I would like to see if without the teal. if you do get rid of it then you might have to add lines to differentiate the dates like sarah said.
