About Ria Sharon

My art degree is in painting and printmaking and I've been a designer and illustrator for 18 years. I'm obsessed with vintage typography and hand lettering. I'm inspired by anything made by hand, by organic patterns found in nature, and words that make me laugh and/or cry. By day, I work in higher ed and in my free time I juggle art, great books, a couple of tweens and a crazy dog.

Ria, thanks for the input - very much appreciated!! I've designed wedding invitation for so long that i often do a script or whimsical font for names and location and then a serif or sans serif for all the other info. Kinda second nature ;) What I meant by date was i did it as 5.25.15, vs May 25, 2015...wasnt' sure I was liking that. Good point though about whimsical and non-whimsical. Definitely something to consider!
