About Nene

Nene was an 86 year-old Uruguayan when he won two editor's pic at a Minted's art challenge. One of his daughter-in-law, who is a Minted designer too, set up his shop. He was very ill, but got very motivated and happy and had lot of fun with this. He loved his little country, el 'paisito', its people and its culture. He loved to talk, make new friends, and draw. He was awesome. He left his widow, four great-grandchildren, seven granchilden and three sons.
