Carol C. Young is a CT based artist who has gained recognition for her bold landscape paintings. Her use of contrasting colors capture the light and shadow of architectural structures within the rural landscape. Carol is intrigued by older buildings, and has been identified with her depictions of barns. In the artist's words, "There is something nostalgic about an old barn or cottage that draws me in and I hope to capture them on canvas before the ever changing landscape changes again forever."
