Born and raised in Los Angeles, April Rocha worked as an agent at top boutique talent agencies for 10 years before venturing into photography full time. Shutterbug, a leading photo magazine for professional photographers, reviewed wedding photographers April Rocha and Joe Buissink and had this to say about April's work "Rocha's portraits are truly wondrous...the work displayed is consistently engaging for the viewer...In all her photography, Rocha's talent rises above the mundane and focuses on the inner being--human or otherwise.” April has received awards from Art Show at the Dog Show, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, Polaroid Road Show, Agfa and Kolo Albums. Her work has been exhibited at the Millard Sheets Gallery and LaFoto Gallery and she was a finalist in the slideshow exhibition at the Palm Springs Photo Festival. April’s work has been published in The Knot and two issues of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style. Her work has also been seen in WE Channel's “Platinum Weddings.” Her headshot photography work has been profiled in Double Exposure magazine, a national online magazine for professional photographers. April has worked for Bobby Shriver, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Cartier, Notes from the Underbelly’s Rachael Harris Will and Grace’s Sean Hayes and Star Trek: The Next Generation's Marina Sirtis.
