Font Award Roundup: Special Prize Winners

Announcing the special prize winners for our Font Awards! This award is for the design that introduces the best font that we purchase and add to the Minted Font List. We’re always looking to the community to help us surface fresh new fonts to add to our Minted Font List. If you have a vision for an amazing design that uses a font not in our font library, feel free to use it in your submission. You can read more about Minted fonts here. Type Style: Strangelove

Inspired by the title sequence from the Stanley Kubrick film, Strangelove has become the go-to font to evoke a hip and indie feel. Strangelove would surely be found in a Brooklyn art gallery on a Friday night, rocking hip patterned silk pants dressed down with a tee from American Apparel.

Type Style: Futura

I think it’s fair to say that I’m a font obsessed gal. So much so that I started imagining my favorite typefaces as people, giving them a personality and wondering what they would wear. So with that admission  I bring you Type Style, first up Futura. Equal parts modern and retro, and always completely cool.
