Domino & At Home With a Minted Artist: Kristi Kohut

This month, Minted artist Kristi Kohut of Hapi Art and Pattern gives Domino magazine a tour of her chic, art-filled Chicago home. We’re big fans of Kristi’s bright, bold pieces, and she chats with the magazine’s editors about how she decided to pursue art as career (instead of advertising!), where she draws inspiration, and how she goes about decorating her own home. You can purchase one of Kristi’s bold and beautiful pieces for yourself in her Minted shop, and don’t forget to check out all of the previous Art Home With a Minted Artist features.

Domino & At Home With a Minted Artist: Kelli Hall

Domino magazine’s monthly tour of a Minted artist’s home just went live and September’s cover girl is none other than our very own Kelli Hall. It’s no big surprise that we’re huge fans of Kelli’s work, from her abstract paintings to her modern-minimalist stationery designs. Head on over to Domino for a sneak peek into Kelli’s clean, bright-white home (those pristine white floors!) and read her Q&A with the editor to find out what’s inspiring her these days and what she counts as her most-prized possession. While you’re at it, check out all of the previous Art Home With a Minted Artist features.

Featured Minted art (above, clockwise from top left): Opus by Katie Craig; St. Paul’s Cathedral, London by 45wall design; Looking Forward by Hannah Perrine Mode; Artisan by Marabou Design; and Sleepy Kitty by Tyler Tea

Spotted: Minted Artist Kiana Mosley at West Elm

One of the main reasons we love partnering with West Elm is because they share our passion for supporting independent artists. Today, we spotted one of our Minted artists, the talented Kiana Mosley, on the cover of a recent West Elm catalog! Her print “Of Land and Sea I” is beautifully featured amid a mix of West Elm’s midcentury modern-style pieces.

See Kiana’s gorgeous print up close and purchase it right here. Minted regularly partners with West Elm on art challenges, where independent designers around the world are invited to submit their freshest, most modern art-print designs. The winning prints from the latest competition are now available online at West Elm as well as in stores. We’re so proud to have Kiana and all of our other winning artists representing Minted at West Elm.

Domino & At Home With a Minted Artist: Karly Depew

We’re thrilled to be partnering with domino magazine—one of our favorite shelter mags!—for a new series “At Home With a Minted Artist.” Each month, editors at the magazine will profile one of our talented artists, taking you inside their homes and studio for a virtual tour. Needless to say, we’re beyond excited about collaborating with domino on this series, not only because we’re big fans of their fresh aesthetic and the art-filled homes they feature in the magazine, but especially since they share our passion for supporting independent artists.

‘Chalkboard’ and ‘Darjeeling’ in Brides

We’re excited to say that our very own “Chalkboard” by Alethea and Ruth and “Darjeeling” by annie clark are featured in the October issue of Brides!

Rachel’s “Chalkboard” is sophisticated in black and white, while her chalk laurels and florals add a casual, friendly feeling to this wedding invite.

Don’t you just love how bright and bold “Darjeeling” is? We love Annie’s painterly strokes and playful flourishes.

Congratulations, Rachel and Annie!

Happy Birthday to Harper Beckham and the Pitt-Jolie twins!

We helped out with a fun story on celeb kiddos July birthdays for People.com. It was a lot of fun to be inspired by these little ones who already have their own strong aesthetic sense!

With cotton candy stripes and swirly circus type, The Big One! by jennifer wick was the perfect amount of French whimsy for the sophisticated and lovely Harper Beckham.

Donut miss the party by guess what? was a little more hip and cheeky for Vivienne & Knox Pitt-Jolie’s fourth birthday celebration. Check out more of our fun children’s birthday party invites here.

SFGirlByBay’s Minted Art Collection.

We can’t say we’re surprised that our new art collection looks absolutely stunning in the uber-chic home of Victoria Smith, the tour-de-force behind SFGirlByBay.

Don’t those cheerful pillows and that textured blanket look amazing with Special Day Pattern by Pink Hippo Prints? Victoria was one of the guest curator’s of our launch party and to thank her for all of her help, we let her take a few framed pieces home.

All in the Details by Courtney Wilburn really pops on Victoria’s sideboard. We love how she just rested it and didn’t even need to go to the trouble of hanging it. And aren’t those terrariums awesome?

Here is the original wall that Victoria curated at our CEO & founder Mariam Naficy’s home. You can see her inspiration board on our site here.

It’s really fun to see how the pieces look on their own throughout Victoria’s home.

Some Things Take Time by Momo is a great focal point in Victoria’s living room. Ooh, and we love her collection of mini-white vases and frames.

In a Row by Annie Clark looks perfectly lovely above Victoria’s couch. Doesn’t art just look so much better a little bigger?

A big thank you to Victoria for not only helping get our art launch off the ground, but also for showing us just how awesome minted art can look in a real home!

Green Wedding Shoes wedding inspiration boards.

Earlier this year, Jen Campbell, the incredible tour de force behind Green Wedding Shoes, guest judged our Something Old, Something New wedding invitation challenge. We were hoping to bring in some more designs that reflected various cultures and religions, as well as worked well for destination weddings, and got some amazing entries! Jack and I put together some inspiration boards to go with Jen’s winning pick, as well as some of her other favorites from the challenge–all the quotes are hers. They were so pretty we just can’t help but share them below! The boards were recently posted on Green Wedding Shoes here.
