What to Wear to a Wedding: Fancy Skirts and T-Shirts

Weddings have dramatically changed from what was acceptable just a few short years ago. Gone are the days when wedding guests had to buy formal attire to celebrate a friend’s big day. Rather, stylish women these days are layering shift dresses with blazers and booties, breaking out the pants and jumpsuits, and—my personal favorite—pairing simple tees with their dressiest skirts. Not convinced? Here are my top picks for pulling this look off at the next wedding you’re invited to.

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

Fall Wedding Colors

Just because fall is right around the corner doesn’t mean you have to give up the idea of a bright, summery color palette for your wedding. One easy way to make summer hues work for fall is to add a moody touch to the overall palette by introducing a dark, saturated color. 8 Summer Wedding Signature Cocktails

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

wedding signature cocktail

Working on custom wedding signage means I see a lot of the little details brides are incorporating into their big day. One thing that’s always a good idea: a sign or two displayed at the cocktail bar listing the couple’s signature cocktails. Custom beverages are a fun way to personalize your bar menu and share your favorite libations with your friends and family. Plus, if you opt for cocktail the bartenders can mix in advance, that will definitely help cut down on long lines at the bar. We served two signature cocktails at our wedding and our guests loved them so much, most didn’t even scan the menu for other options. In the spirit of infusing one last bit of summer into your upcoming soiree, check out these eight cocktails I’ve had my eye on… and that you might want to consider making your own.
