Sequined Table Number DIY

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

Wedding Table Numbers

Sequins as your main decor inspiration? Probably a bad idea. Sequins used for a small piece of sparkly decor? Now, that’s a much better idea. Sparkly used sparingly on your wedding day can add a glamourous touch and make otherwise simple decor stand out. And something that always needs to be eye-catching? Table numbers! So people can find them of course… so mix those 2 elements and you have yourself a shimmering piece that basically doubles as your centerpiece.

Summer Hand Fan Favors

Urban Baby bunting and pretty thaumatrope giant confetti used to make simple summer hand fans Outdoor events and warm weather bring the perfect reason to break out fan favors (here in the sweltering south, we’ve perfected the art of fanning up our own breezes!) I’ve assembled a simple hand fan using re-purposed minted confetti and circular bunting. Try them as wedding favors to pull in a colorful pattern, a sweet quote or even a personalized initial. These can be easily assembled in no time flat, but look like you ordered a completely custom fan set.

Lettered Vase Centerpiece DIY

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

Wedding Decor DIY

This summer, i’ll be watching one for my friends walk down the aisle… which means, we have been in full planning mode recently. One thing that has come up a lot in planning the decor is, how can we take all of that inspiration we find and really personalize it to her and her fiancé. And I think that can be one of the hardest tricks for any wedding. There are sure to be quotes, songs, even little things that you two say to each other that are special. And those are the perfect pieces to infuse into your wedding day decor to give it a personal touch. I only wish I had this realization before our wedding day two years ago! So, here is one simple and cost effective way to add those special words to your centerpieces.

Design to Dish: Peach & Seafoam Spring Wedding

Written by Melissa of Lulu the Baker

I love weddings! As a teenager, I loved looking through bridal magazines, and by the time I got married, had quite the collection of wedding-related glossies stashed in my room. While every season has uniquely beautiful wedding details, Spring seems almost tailor-made for weddings. The blooming flowers, warming weather, fresh flavors, and soft colors of Spring make for a lush, romantic celebration.

To go with the sweet, peachy-pink color of this Peach & Seafoam Spring Wedding inspiration board, try these scrumptious Glazed Grapefruit Mini Cakes. They’re the perfect mix of sweet and tart, and their dainty size and pale pink glaze make them both delicious and elegant.

DIY Winter Themed Guest Book

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

Wedding Guestbook

When my husband and I got married, we crafted up a simple guestbook and asked guests to add polaroid photos of themselves along with notes of encouragement. Best decision we made. We received everything from the simple piece of advice to hilarious pictures of our best friends. It gave everyone the freedom to do something creative. So, it is still one of my number one recommendations for guest books. Read on for instructions on how to make your own with a little winter flair for those of you currently finalizing details for your own winter wedding!
