Holiday Party Invitations Challenge: Special Prize Winners

Holiday season is just around the corner (or in the case of Halloween, practically here!) and Minted customers will soon be planning fun and festive parties. So we asked the Minted Community to design unique invitations that would make any holiday celebration the most anticipated one of the season. We were looking for all types of innovative holiday party invites, and the Community delivered! The winners below each stood out in one of our special prize categories. Congrats, winners!

Modern Elegance Award for the best design that is traditional and elegant, but still fresh: “Fête de Noël” by R studio

A bold but sophisticated linear faux foil pattern frames the party details in “Fête de Noël.” Reneé’s artistic, slightly edgy take on elegance is perfectly festive. The classic type provides a great counterpoint to the more modern border (not surprising coming from the designer behind a Minted Master Class Tutorial on typography!).

Most Wonderful Corporate Card of the Year Award for the most original corporate holiday card that you won’t find on other sites: “The Office” by Lori Wemple

Lori’s clever, well-crafted corporate take on “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” put a smile on our faces at the Minted office (we admit it, nice paper is our idea of the perfect Christmas present!). We’re so impressed by how Lori combines fonts, switches up line breaks, and curves the text while still maintaining the flow of the poem so that it’s easy to read. Great job, Lori!

Innovation Award for the most innovative non-photo holiday card that best exemplifies design risk-taking, while still conveying the cheer and spirit of the holiday season: “Merry Medley” by Angela Marzuki

Hats off to Angela for this thoroughly modern design! Her varying textures, off-kilter lines, and soft pastels are completely unexpected. Still, there’s something about her hand-lettered “joy” and bursts of red and green that keep this out-of-the-box design feeling very in-season.

So this year, we turned to the Minted Community to expand our ornament assortment by being creative, taking risks, and designing the most original holiday ornament cards in the world! We were so impressed by the result, and the winners below each stood out in one of our special prize categories. Congrats, winners!

Great Shape Award for the design that perfectly suits the ornament shape: “Deco Christmas” by Genna Cowsert

Genna’s elegant art deco-inspired pattern of lines and dots fits flawlessly into our new Rose Snowflake ornament shape. The mint and gold color scheme is vintage-inspired while still being modern. The incorporation of the die-cut ribbon hole as one of the dots in the pattern is so clever!
