Jessica’s unexpected color palette and playful layout is truly a work of art. The expressiveness of the script gives the design a joyful energy, while the modern sans serif type helps to balance and ground the composition. Jessica’s designs always have such a positive, cheerful feel to them, and “Peaceful Wish” is a beautiful example. We love how the stylized holiday greenery illustrations seem to dance around the type, creating a perfectly festive frame.

Kelli Hall is the master of minimalism. She has an uncanny ability to strip a design of fussy embellishments without making it feel cold or stark. Her 7th place winning design, “Glaze,” is no exception. The sweeping curve of her hand-lettered joy makes for a striking layout, while the delicate type retains the decidedly modern feeling of the design. It takes incredible skill to put together such a beautiful composition, and here Kelli makes it look effortless.

Festive, modern, and flat-out funny, Hailey expertly combines a birth announcement and holiday card with her design “Santa Bring Cookies!” The modern composition is softened by the humorous copy and hand-drawn-style type. We love how the heart next to the birth stats echoes the shape of the paper cut typography above. Hailey has such a knack for lighthearted, clean design and this one is no exception to that rule!

“A Holiday Note” strikes the perfect balance between classic and modern. Chryssi’s confident use of white space frames the photo and puts it at center stage, while the playful handwritten-style script adds a festive twist. Crafting such a clean design is no easy task, and this holiday card proves that less can truly be more.

Styling Tips for a Farmhouse Thanksgiving

Inspired by nature, we love Griffinbell Paper Co’s minimalist take on a rustic style in her party suite Rustic Harvest. Below are some of our favorite tips to create a chic and stylish Thanksgiving.

A simple kraft table runner with minimalist white leaf pattern creates a dressed up but comfortable setting. Complete the look by adding simple white votive candles and greenery.

Make your guests feel special by dressing up their spot at the table with place cards. Mixing in metallics, like the gold leaves, with an otherwise natural color palette adds a decidedly festive look.

Eschewing flowers and opting for simples greens like olive branches or eucalyptus leaves is an easy and elegant way to dress up your mantle, front door, and party welcome signs.
