Lettered Vase Centerpiece DIY

Wedding Decor DIY

This summer, i’ll be watching one for my friends walk down the aisle… which means, we have been in full planning mode recently. One thing that has come up a lot in planning the decor is, how can we take all of that inspiration we find and really personalize it to her and her fiancé. And I think that can be one of the hardest tricks for any wedding. There are sure to be quotes, songs, even little things that you two say to each other that are special. And those are the perfect pieces to infuse into your wedding day decor to give it a personal touch. I only wish I had this realization before our wedding day two years ago! So, here is one simple and cost effective way to add those special words to your centerpieces.

I walked down the aisle to a remake of Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t help falling in love with you’. I love the lyrics, so that is where i started with this vase.

Sea Glass Decor

1. Supplies: a glass vase (i picked up this sea glass inspired version at michaels), a pencil, acrylic paint pen and flowers (of course you can always hand these off to your florist!).

2. Start by tracing your words onto the vase. If you have a shiny glass vase, you can always skip this step… or if you like the matte style, spray your vase with a bit of frosted glass spray paint.

3. Go back over the pencil lettering with your paint pen to finish off the vase.

Wedding Centerpiece

And that’s it! You can play around with each vase and make them different for each of your tables. Try writing notes to your guests, different song lyrics that are favorites, or lovey dovey quotes to capture the mood of your day. The best part is, you’ll have a collection to bring home with you and display!
