grassy easter backdrop

I don’t know what it’s like in your area, but in Denver things are still very brown and bare. So I decided to bring spring indoors with this grassy decor that would make a great backdrop for your Easter brunch spread.

What you’ll need:
- a turf outdoor rug (I found this at Home Depot for $20 – it’s 6×8 so covers a good area)
- white card stock
- flower punch
- cupcake liners (optional)
- round yellow push pins (I found mine at Target)

Step one: Nail the rug up on the wall.

Step two: Use flower punch to cut out several flowers from the white card stock. Pin directly to turf. Pin cupcake liners too, if desired.

Step three: Cut out letters from card stock to spell out message. If you’re not confident in your free hand ability, print out the letters and cut. Pin directly to turf.

This only took me about an hour. It would be perfect for a photo booth, to set Easter baskets in front of, or to hang behind a dessert spread.
