For Easter this year, I traded in the typical bright pastels for something a little more subdued and natural. More neutral for my boys and more organic for me. Minted’s Wooded Bloom dream party suite by By That Girl Press fit the bill perfectly. My color scheme was earthy neutrals, mint green and a pop of yellow for Spring!
I spray painted the bottom half of some plastic eggs. Because the paint was not food safe, I decided to create these Easter egg terrariums as a gift for each guest. You can read about the details on my blog here.
There’s nothing more fun than a table filled with sweet treats on a variety of cake stands. When it come to cake stands… Lets just say, I have never met a cake stand I didn’t like.
Check out the star of the dessert table! This gorgeous little cake was created by Happy Cakes. Doesn’t it look perfect sitting atop my minted milk glass cake plate?
A little felt and glue comes together to make a super fun daffodil toppers. Check out the julep post where I show you how here.
Are you ready for an egg hunt? Dip-dyed wood slat farm baskets filled with treats galore await each little guest.
My talented friend and fellow mintie, Brooke Chandler Jackson of Paper & Parcel helped me put these wonderful baskets together. We needed a stuff animal that was more modern, and less fluffy/cute. She found this perfect little stuffed menswear bunny DIY from MarthaStewart.com. Brooke created kraft paper basket filler by putting it through her paper shredder. Genuis! We used the minted Wooded Bloom place cards and cellophane bags to create matching treat bags. Can you believe that adorable carrot next to the bunny is made from coffee filters! They are filled with M&Ms of course…
Behind the bright bouquet of ranunculus is my sweet Maddy. She is standing in front of minted’s Wanderlust photo backdrop by J.Bartyn. To my surprise, the backdrop is printed on high quality canvas fabric, not paper like I had original thought. Which means it can be re-used again and again! This was my chance to use my Umbra pinwheel wall decor that I got for a steal at Target. I hot glued thumb tacks to the back and pinned them up to add touch of whimsy.
