easy floral centerpiece

By Melanie of You Are My Fave

Thursday marks the first day of spring, hooray! Even if it doesn’t feel very springy where you live, you can bring a little bit of the season inside with this easy floral display. The best part is it’s long lasting so will make it all the way to your Easter brunch…

Supplies:
- a cake stand with a rim (this one is from West Elm)
- planting flowers (such as pansies)
- small pebbles

Step one: Layer the bottom of the cake stand with pebbles to provide drainage.

Step two: Plant flowers on top, pressing down and smoothing out the soil so it doesn’t overflow. Keep watered and near light.

I think having several cake stands of various sizes all planted with flowers would make such a pretty centerpiece.
