New Year. Less Clutter

By Victoria Smith of sfgirlbybay.

For the new year, many resolutions include some kind of reorganization of our lives. The first thing that comes to my mind is going through the clutter accumulated from the past year and tidying up our living spaces. Here are just a few of my favorite shelving setups.

These reclaimed open wood shelves are a gorgeous way to showcase and organize your most beautiful belongings. This display can be seen at Twig & Twine in L.A.’s Silver Lake.

I love the pairing of simple materials – leather straps and plywood planks – that create these simple and chic shelves from Lightly.

Modular shelving units can give a unique look to any space by framing your favorite objects and having them on display. This one even has label holders, giving it a unique antique feel.

This glamorous home via Design*Sponge has utilized multiple glass cabinets for the “storage and display of pretty everyday toiletries” and shoes.

In a modern, white workspace styled by Anna Mårselius, the shelves are used as a to bring in pops of color through the beautiful objects on display.

This simple white shelving unit allows for the items upon it to be styled in any palette, and I quite like the monochromatic mint theme here.
