Winter Whites.

By Victoria Smith of sfgirlbybay.
This time of year, it’s easy to get carried away when decorating for the holidays. I’ve been trying to keep it simple and chic, like this dark green wall as a backdrop to glamorous white and silver ornaments and props from Elle Interiör via Emmas Designblogg. Keeping to a minimal color palette with pops of fun accents allows the room to be striking and modern yet still making it festive and fun! Here are a few of my favorite holiday decor ideas for making the end of the year quite merry.

Eraser Stamp Christmas Tree Cards

By: Merrilee Liddiard, of Mer Mag

We love to make handmade Christmas cards for teachers, friends and neighbors and this simple eraser stamp Christmas Tree card is just the thing to bring handmade merry cheer to all!

Step one: Download the Christmas Tree Card template and print it out on card stock or paper. It also works perfectly on 5″ x 6.5″ white blank cards (found at your local craft store). Fold and trim card as needed.
Step two: Using a pencil eraser and stamp pad, begin stamping ornaments, lights or boughs of evergreen onto the card.
Step three and four: Continue until you are satisfied with your stamped tree. Have fun with different colors (think twinkle lights on evergreen boughs) or go monochromatic with reds like we did here.
Step five: The front of your card is complete! Just don’t forget to write tidings of good cheer for all inside.

Enjoy sharing your custom card for friends and family!

DIY Crepe Paper Poinsettia Gift Toppers

By: Jenny Batt, of  Hank and Hunt

So, I haven’t quite finished all of my shopping yet, but I have already started wrapping. Since my wrapping paper theme this year is all about the merry and bright, I knew I needed something fun for the top. I love working with crepe paper to make flowers and I wanted to try to make a poinsettia. It is quick and easy and since I am using crepe paper streamers, incredibly cost effective. I love the off-white cream shade with a pop of gold tinsel in the center.
