illustrated portrait place cards

Truth be told, I’ve never actually used place cards for a party. But since we’re doing a smaller scale Thanksgiving with friends this year, I think it would be fun to implement these illustrated portraits. At least it would garner a good laugh (or someone would leave insulted). They’re easy as long as you or a friend has basic drawing skills.

Just three steps:

1. Download and print the place card template (3″x6″).
2. Brush up on the skills you learned from 6th grade art class, and sketch a portrait of each guest (it helps if they have distinct style or something they always wear).
3. Fold in half and prop up at each place setting.

I like how this guy is sporting a turtleneck.
