Late Summer Wedding Inspiration

One trend I can never get enough of is the easy breezy style of bohemian weddings. The decor, food and attire always looks so effortless. When I think of a late summer wedding, bohemian inspiration immediately comes to mind. Read on for ideas and inspiration for achieving that laid back atmosphere for your own wedding day….

Rich jewel tones and natural hues are the colors of choice when late summer is the topic. The images above incorporate those exact shades while using natural elements.

Incorporating feathers is a no-brainer. Wrap your invitation suite with a single feather that will achieve big impact or simply print it as a design element. Keep the rest of the design simple and let your feathers of choice take center stage. If you aren’t willing to pull from your jewelry box when it comes to the cake, there are plenty of bakers that can create faux jewels out of fondant achieving the same effect. As they did here, single blooms in vintage cups and rustic veggies are messily displayed as the centerpiece. The structured containers keep them all from looking like a mess of food laying on the table though and more like a creative installation. And if you are going as far as collecting a specific polaroid for each guest, why not write out a little note for them as well. (Photo by Heidi of Our Labor of Love via 100 Layer Cake)

A peace sign wreath is the perfect piece of decor, how about for over the sweetheart table? Use a unique wallpaper like this for your photobooth backdrop. 1. The vegetables on the table are my favorite part of this because I really like the harvest…y feel. That’s what the end of summer feels like to me.
