Shabby Chic Mr And Mrs Chair Signs

If you’re having an outdoor wedding this season, these shabby chic Mr and Mrs chair signs would be a beautiful addition. They are easy to make and you could swap out the lace, burlap and fabric for ribbons or glitter streamers depending on your theme.

Here’s how to make them…

Materials

Supplies:

  • Wooden letters
  • Burlap, lace, fabric offcuts in your theme colours
  • Baker’s twine
  • Scissors
  • Gold spray paint
  • Wire

Shabby Chic Mr And Mrs Chairs Signs Step by Step

Step 1: Tie a small piece of wire around each letter.
Step 2: Spray paint your letters. Remember a couple of light coats is better than one heavy coat.
Step 3: Measure your chairs across the top and cut two lengths of string to tie on each chair.
Step 4: Cut little slits in each piece of your fabric and then rip along the line to create your ribbons. Make a mixture of burlap, lace and fabric. Don’t worry too much about the threads as that’s what makes them shabby chic!
Step 5: Now tie them onto your string, attach your Mr and Mrs letters and attach your signs to your chair.

  1. These look so simple to make. They could also be adorable for a birthday party with the name of each guest.
