Special paper details on the breakfast table are the perfect way to surprise your guy for Father’s Day. I’ve created two printables inspired by my husband’s two favorite indulgences: A stack of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and his morning paper with coffee. Check out these downloads for a simple way to embellish your breakfast tray and let dad know how much he’s loved.
Paper Flags (download here): Download the artwork here and print the graphics from any printer. Simply cut out the circles using scissors or a circle cutter and affix to a toothpick with glue.
Once created, skewer away! Any food will do. I’ve chosen a stack of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but you can use these paper flags to embellish your dad’s favorite breakfast treat: Pancakes, French Toast or muffins. These would be great as cupcake toppers as well.
Newspaper Card (download here): Switch out your dad’s morning paper for a newspaper-style card to show off your child’s artwork or family photo. Download the artwork for the card here and print it on standard letter paper.
In the blank space, Let your child color a picture of dad or attach a family photo. You can even use a baby’s hand print. If you have several children, create one card for each child and layer the cards before rolling. The more layers you add, the more it will look like a real newspaper.
Once you’ve personalized the blank space, roll up the card and secure it with a piece of tape or string. These printed pieces will perfectly round out a simple breakfast tray for a Father’s day surprise.
