Accordion Thank You Card

By Melanie Blodgett, You Are My Fav

The gifts have been given and received and now it’s time to pass along the notes of gratitude. Here’s a way to make your own that will stand out plus you can make them a fun crafternoon project and get kids involved too.

Supplies:
• larger sheet (with one side at least 16″) of patterned or plain paper (I used a gift wrap sheet)
• white or colored card stock
• paint and paintbrush (optional)
• scissors
• glue stick
• bone folder or popsicle stick (optional)

Paint sections of your white sheet of card stock in colors of your choosing and let dry. You can skip this step if you are using colored card stock.

Freehand cut your letters to spell out your message of thanks. Make sure they’re the right size to fit on your card (mine were about 1 1/2″ tall).

Trim the larger sheet of paper to 16″ long by 4″ high or customize the size to fit your letters. Make a fold 2″ wide and accordion fold the rest of the paper. You’ll end up with eight, 2″ rectangles to put your letters in.

Use your glue stick to attach the letters into each rectangle and fold up into a small book.

Tie up with a piece of twine and add any custom bits like a sticker or additional note. Send or deliver to the chosen recipient.
