My training is in marketing and merchandising but my love has always been graphic design: beautiful papers, inks, illustrations, and fonts all gathered together to celebrate life's events and non-events.

Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
that was supposed to say do "NOT" own the name "laurel!!!" too funny. :P
First of all - I LOVE your Sweet Laurel design!!! Second, I'm pretty sure I do own the name "laurel" (and yours is names "sweet" laurel, anyway!) so no worries!!! Good luck - I hope it wins something! And thanks for your kind words, as well!
Thanks, Susan!!! I am pretty excited about it! :)
So glad you got it! I've only had a design in one...but I didn't get it!! And only knew because Jennifer Wick emailed me - God bless her!!! Thanks for the info on your heart embellishment - I thought you drew it!!! Either way, it's beautiful!
yay - your Family of Note was featured in a Minted Email ad today!!! Did you get it? If not, and you'd like me to forward it to you, just send me an email kim@knotes-style.com
You're welcome, Susan. It's hard to edit your own sometimes! :o)
Susan, I just wanted to thank you for your very helpful suggestion. I think you were absolutely right, and I very much appreciate it!
Dear Susan.. thanks for ur comments! I'm a fan of ur work.. They are just simply lovely and beautiful!
Susan, thank you so much for your note! I just noticed that you haven't even hit your first year's anniversary on Minted yet, and you've already got NINE awards under your belt! That's something to be really proud of- congrats!
Susan, what a nice comment from you. I always admire your work so your kind words mean alot to me. Thank you!
Susan, thanks so much for your thoughtful note on my profile a little while ago. I don't know where time it going!! I'm so happy my vase design inspired your floral redux : ) See, that's a perfect example of inspiration because I would never have guessed since your style is so different and beautiful : ) I really hope your "where's Rudolph" design does well, and you other super designs!! Good luck and thanks for your kind words! : )
Thanks for your nice note, Sue - you're so sweet! I'm trying not to get my hopes up...it's hard! Love your two latest entries - great work. Good luck to both of us! :)
Hi Susan, Thanks so much for letting me know th name of that font and for giving me the tip on whatthefont. So appreciate it! :) Monica
Congrats, Susan! I was so happy to see Floral Redux in the top 30! :)
Glad you didn't give up on those flowers! I still think "On the Beach" could have been a winning note card, too...
you don't owe me a thing, Susan! It was you who made a winner!!
Congrats on your big WIN and another Pick, Susan!!
congrats on the win, Susan! Aren't you glad you pulled that one out!! way to go!
Susan, no worries. I appreciate the constructive crit. I totally see what you mean and it's my first crack at handwritten type so I really appreciate extra. I am going to see if I can improve it. Thanks.
Hi, Susan! Hope you get more feedback on your flowers...is it me, or does it seem the Minties all have great weekend plans (other than sitting at their computer)..not as many comments going around this weekend as it seems there had been last week...
Hi, Susan! Thanks so much for your comment on my dish gloves (Loved) - I've decided to delete it b/c it just doesn't look good and I have no hopes of improving it enough to matter. But, I wanted to thank you - your help is so much appreciated! :)
Thanks so much, Susan. I was completely shocked and honored by the pick!
Hi Susan, thanks so much for your sweet note! whaddya trying to do make me cry? I am glad you kept and worked through that design. I like tenacity...and risk takers. Good luck!! Yes, a win would be nice once in awhile.
Hey, Susan - thanks so much for your note! But I saw one of yours scored higher than mine, so you can just never tell - part of the thrill, I guess!
Hi Susan. Thanks for your note. You can use any font as long as it's outlined and used as art. Editable text should be one of the "approved" Minted fonts.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Susan! Here's hoping we can both get at least one pick out of this stationery challenge - Im getting concerned because everytime I check, there are even more beautiful submissions! THis one's gonna be a bear to vote...
Susan, thanks so much for the kind words! You made my day. I don't know about consistent quality though... I've certainly had my share of duds, lol. I was sad that your Botanicals didn't make it... I thought they were lovely and 5-worthy. You do minimalist with a touch of quirk very well. :)
Thank you very much, Susan!
You had some great ones, not just Picnic in the Park - but, you never can tell with these challenges! Best of luck in the upcoming challenges and announcements! :)
Thanks, Susan!
Susan, I like the simplicity of the banner from your last round. But really, both are nice. Good luck!
Hi Susan! Sorry it was such a late comment - I was just thinking about that... if the challenge isn't in voting - you may be able to still go in and update your design. You just go to 'locked for voting' in the 'manage your designs' area - and if the edit button is still under the design, you can make whatever updates you need to. I figured this out only a few weeks ago thanks to another Mintie!
don't worry, I think you've got some winners in your Save the Date submissions (fingers crossed!) :)
awww, thanks for your nice comment on my I Did It design, Susan - made my morning!
Hi Susan, thanks for the sweet comment on my "framework" design. That made my day! I'm loving your Save the Date submissions btw... very nice work. :)
Hi Susan - I am more than happy to give you some suggestions on the font choices for your design. I really do love the simplicity of it and those florals are just perfect. I think the fonts you have chosen (Mrs. Eaves and Mr. Sheffield) do work for this design, but I would probably just use them in a different way. Do you have a personal email address that I could use? I want to send you 2 pdf's to demonstrate those changes. Much easier than trying to describe them on here. If you can contact me at info@oscaremma.com, I will respond back to you with those suggestions. Have a lovely day!
Hi Susan- I think the design works great as is, changing the hearts up a bit was just a thought :) Which direction you decide depends on whether you'd like the design to be more rustic/hand made or more modern.
Hello fellow Susan! I just wanted to thank you for the sweet note. That made my night. I also want to congratulate you on your 'Picnic Basket' pick. It's so perfectly understated. Nice work. Happy Holidays!!!
Thank you so much, Susan. I had no idea until you posted to me! What a fun surprise!
Hi Susan. It‘s good to be back. And thank you for the compliment. Still a lot going on but I so want to make time for Minted. It‘s a great community and I miss it when I do not have time to be here.
fun, indeed! and, now, we are tied at 5... :-)
Ah, now I get it. Thanks for the kind words, Susan! Yes, I have a great love for Matisse and beautiful, bold colors and patterns, but I also love tiny type and lots of details. I am quite the dichotomy, but this seems to be a great place to showcase that. Feel free to comment on any of my other submissions and hope you are back competing soon!
Hi Susan, thanks for your comment on my Gentle Gingko design, but the insecure designer in me doesn't know whether you like my work or you think that design was a fluke by your comment.
Hi Susan! Thanks for your sweet comment...it made my day! I just saw your Folk Wedding design and LOVE it...very very nice!
Thank you for the congrats, Susan! Big congrats to you, too! I still liked the flowers on that one...(Pretty in Pink)
Susan - Thank you for your comments on my "Fan Club" design. I always appreciate glib. :-) And sorry for mispelling you name in the comment thread there - I was trying to type "Sue." I've updated the fonts - hop eit suits you better! :-)
Susan, thank you, thank you for the nicest compliment I received in a while!! I'm really flattered that you like my work : ) Your wedding entries are really nice, especially Picnic Basket and We Do. I know these competitions can get really competitive and can take a toll on our emotions, so hang in there and keep trusting your design instincts! That's what I did and it turned out to be the turning point for me : )
Hi Susan, Thanks for your nice comment on my profile! I have learned so much from participating in the Minted community so I am glad that I was able to welcome you properly :) I LOVE your Picnic Basket design in this challenge. Congrats on your recent editor's picks!
Hi Susan, thanks for posting on my page. Love so many of your designs! I have been putting up and pulling down myself lately. A good designer knows when to edit, so I guess we are doing the right thing. Good luck and hang in there!
Sue - Thank you so much for your kind note. You are so sweet and thoughtful! While I'm here, I'm liking your Picnic Basket design, too. Good luck to you!
Thanks so much for your sweet note and congrats on your recent picks too!
Thank you so much for your note, Susan - yes this is sooo fun (and addicting!). Congrats to you as well on your recent picks in the Notebook and Business card challenges! That is fantastic, and so well-deserved!
Oh, Susan, I'm sooo happy they selected your Bar graph Design!! The design was already 99.9% there, I'm just glad I could help : ) I'm excited to see what additional colorways you think of for it!
Lower the initial and name and nix the drop shadow. =)
What happened to your floral design? It was very pretty!
Thank you for your help. It was very nice of you. I am in your dept. You have an amazing gift.
Thanks so much for your sweet comment, Susan! I was really rooting for Bling Baby in this challenge, darnit - still think it's super pretty... keep up the great work!
