I spend my days (and sometimes nights) as an architect, but graphic design has always been my passion. I sneak it in anytime I get a chance- whether it be designing invitations and cards, or graphics within architecture creating presentation boards for client meetings or potential client interviews.

Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
Sure, but I don't know that my comments made anything better...it's horrible to be misinterpreted! Oh well...hopefully, it will be forgotten soon... :)
I think it looks great - and I love all the little dots you've used to tie it all together!
You're welcome! It's too bad you didn't have time to make all the changes you wanted to. But I thought the changes you made definitely helped! Don't feel bad if you don't always take people's suggestions..people give you their opinion to help out, but that doesn't mean they're always right. You can take or leave their suggestions as you like! Good luck in the challenge!
Thanks, Rebecca! Good luck to you, too! I really like the lettering on your Mom's Flourish design hope it does well!
Thanks so much for your helpful comment on my mountains notebook. Great minds think alike :) and moving that name worked wonders.
Thank you so much for your helpful comments on my "Mommy Ink" design...I never had time to act on them and feel like it's not finished, so I'm pulling the design. Maybe I can improve it and use it for another challenge. Thanks for your help!
Haha. I truly agree about the warm, fuzzy and odd feeling. Are you able to send me the link? Send me the one of yours too! I haven't jumped on Pinterest as yet. I'm a little late plus I'm worried I'd get too distracted being there. I hear it just sucks you in. ;)
Hi Rebecca, you're welcome! I've been lurking timidly for a while but finally decided to take the plunge a few days ago. Everyone is so helpful, I thought I'd pay it forward when I saw your post!
Whoops. Just saw your note!
Hey Rebecca! I just wanted to say 'Welcome to the Community'! I saw your post in the forum and totally related to how you feel about calling yourself a designer and feeling overwhelmed about where to start. I always think of Architects as designers already. You had a heads up above those that come into design from completely unrelated fields - so I say, embrace it! If you feel like a designer, than you are a designer! If you're passionate about design - which it definitely sounds like you are - then you're a designer!! Your work already has such a unique feel to it - I'm excited to see what you do next! My only advice is to keep submitting...this community has helped me grow tenfold. And read design blogs - tons of inspiration and learning potential there. I agree typography is one of the most important aspects of a design - read up online and just pay attention to the little details of successful designs... you'll learn a lot fast. Other than that, best of luck and welcome to the community!!! xo Hailey
