I have always been a lover of all things creative. 2+2 will always = 4 but art is subjective and never wrong as long as it evokes emotion of any kind. Whether writing, cooking, designing or drawing with my daughter, I am happiest when creating. Being a part of the Minted community makes me very happy.

Hi Sydney. Thank you for your kind words. In 1996 I worked at an advertising agency in Salt Lake City and was in a cubicle next to Nate Williams cubicle. He had these huge paintings on the wall. His style was a bit different than from the work he is currently creating but I remember thinking, wow this art is so awesome. Anyway I reached out to him about a year ago and showed him some of the work I had been working on. By the way some of that artwork is work that I have entered into this latest art submission. His feedback was very helpful. Needless to say I am trying very hard (maybe to hard) to create my own illustration style. And the more that I create the stronger I feel in my style that is just beginning to show through.

Hi Sydney! I just wanted to thank you for your help on my 'Lucky in Love' design. I tried out a brush script and it definitely felt more classic Vegas... but I still had a soft spot for the Wendy. Hey Sydney! You made me smile. Thank you so much for missing me. I miss you guys too. My work schedule has been overwhelming lately and I haven't had much time to work on any concepts. I have a few in my head and am hoping to find some time this weekend before the challenge is over. Whenever I do get a chance to see what ya'll are doing...it's a little intimidating. The designs are so, so beautiful. But I still appreciate being missed! Hugs!

Sydney I love your work! How do you find such balance in your "chaotic" (I mean that in a good way) type work? My work is so structured and when I try to do something with so much detail it just looks like a mess. Love reading your forums posts too. Keeps me entertained.

Hi sydney, thanks for your feedback on my 'nostalgich' NOEL.. I know I've been playing around with the 'L" until the last drop of my 'sleepy eyes' LOL.. still can't figure it out the right treatment yet... But now, I hope that after submission closed, I still have chance to tweak it! I love your new logo! It symbolizes you so much! I have a question, for your handwriting, do you draw with your own hand and scanned them then draw them on computer?

Hi Sydney, thanks so much for your comment on Holiday Peace! I'm just trying to clarify where you were suggesting for the mistletoe--in the top right corner of the card? I'm considering moving it to the center, the balance is nice between the graphics + photo...maybe not so 'stranded'?

Thanks so much for the compliment, Sydney! For the lettering, I sketched them with pencil, scanned them in, then live-traced them in Illustrator so I could clean up the letters. I miss seeing your designs lately - Hope that means your business is taking off : )

re: mod fall, Thanks for your feedback Sydney! The plus sign is smaller and the letters closer together now. I could also make the whole thing a little smaller if needed. Huffing and puffing over here ... ha ha :)
