About Moglea

Moglea (pronounced MOH-GLEE) is the studio of designer, illustrator, and farm wife, Meg Gleason. Meg loves to take a hands-on approach to each of her designs, usually starting with a pencil, a paintbrush, or an exacto knife. She loves all things paper and is lucky to be the owner of a letterpress print shop, where she prints her work and the work of other designers.

Hi, Meg! Thanks so much for the feedback on "Botanical Blooms." I changed the font to a lighter weight Cyclone -- I'm trying to keep the design from tipping too far to the "delicate" side. Let me know what you think if you have a chance!

I've seen some of your non-Minted designs recently (i.e. your collage cards) and they really are beautiful... can't wait to see them in the stores! And those Anthro cards are to die for... so love that edge painting & your letterpress is lovely! Thanks for the info and I appreciate you offering to answer any questions I may have. Hi Meg! I just started a thread on the forum about getting your products into stores then I saw on your blog you are selling cards at Anthropologie. Congrats! They are beautiful... so fun! I feel pretty stupid asking this, but how do you do it? I know you have a ton of stuff in all kinds of cool stores across the country and your work is amazing (I'm not there yet!) but I feel like there's some little secret that I can't find the answer to :). Do you mind telling me how you got your product in actual stores? Did they come to you or did you go to them? Thanks Meg. By the way, that kitchen of yours looks so pretty.

I really, really want to go to NSS this year, but it's all pending a possible business trip for my husband. Hi again, I played around with the type some more, and I changed the names to Learning Curve. (Unfortunately, my font selection is rather limited, so Learning Curve is one of the better script fonts that I have.) Thanks again for all of your wonderful feedback. It really means a lot! :)

oh my goodness! meg! as soon as i got home tonight i realized why you were extra familiar seeing you in person at the meetup -- not only for your amazing work! but also b/c i have procrastinated on your insightful comment on the stamp sheet design we submitted. and here i could've apologized in person!! ;) i have been looking forward to trying a texture technique and more vintage type as you had rec'd... i just kept getting sidetracked with our new ideas and oh, my day job! :) well anyway i just wanted to say A.. so WONDERFUL to meet you and i will think of you in iowa getting inspired by nature fondly! and B.. that i am lame for not realizing you were one in the same and C.. i am going to come thru in the end on this excellent comment. patience appreciated! xo, hallie

meg. thanks for the suggestion on my jolly + little elf. i had been struggling with the hat for some time. i definitely hear you on it being too pointy. a yellow top would be perfect!
