I really, really want to go to NSS this year, but it's all pending a possible business trip for my husband. If he has to attend, then I won't be able to go because I'll be at home with our little girl. If he doesn't, then I should be able to. It would be so great to finally meet everyone in person!! :o)

Meg, you just made my day! I've had a design crush on your work since I joined Minted, so that's a huge compliment coming from you! I know you're a letterpress maven–do you ever collaborate with other designers? I've always wanted to get a letterpress myself, or at least take a class, but it hasn't happened yet.

Hi again, I played around with the type some more, and I changed the names to Learning Curve. (Unfortunately, my font selection is rather limited, so Learning Curve is one of the better script fonts that I have.) Thanks again for all of your wonderful feedback. It really means a lot! :)

(ok so i posted this to my page, but i think i'm supposed to post it here??? sorry, new to this) Hey Meg! I have a little Sigwalt and just purchased a Samson (which is pretty rare). (so true... I also wish there was some way to have a nation-wide Minted meet-up. Ha!) Thanks for the positive feedback on the illustrations! I had a lot of fun w/ them. It was a learning experience for sure... it's really hard to get characters to look the same from page to page... and from pose to pose. That being said, I'd love to try my hand at another book sometime - when I can find the time!

Hi Moglea, Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm a great fan of your work, myself, and always love to see what you come up with. And about that 'stationary' misspelling, thank you for pointing it out. That website is a bit dated and things are currently in the works for a newer one- unfortunately I only designed it (got help from a friend for actually building the thing) so I am limited in what I know how to do. argh! My second 'design' job ever was pretty much working with the quality control staff at a non-profit, catching and correcting THEIR errors! So I should have this down by now, right? :)
