I fell in love ink and paper in college, where I lived around the corner from an art supply store and spent almost every cent I earned buying handmade papers. I learned how to make my own, and become obsessed with print making processes. I am passionate about design and I am thankful to Minted and the community here for providing a supportive and creative place to interact with others who share the same passions.

Aww, thank you Lori! You're too sweet for that :) I was a little surprised to have a design get so much positive feedback and a decent score of 3.58 and not get picked, but it is a contest and Minted has a formula for what they pick. At least it was fun to make and my son liked it so much he says he wants a beach party birthday now too haha :) Congrats on all your wins and picks in the challenge. You really crushed it!!! :)

thanks for the kind compliments on my snapdragon entry, Lori! I wish I could do more! those are aquatints and they are a long process I haven't done in a few years. I used to do snapdragons in any medium possible. I love that flower!

Hey Lori - yea It was a second thought - maybe it is not necessary at all? but really up to you! I was just trying to find a way to have less focus on copy because your illustration is so stellar. (the font is quite decorative and i think it takes away from the awesome illustration) :)

His company sent us down in september and we loved the area. We visited center city, Huntersville up to Moorseville. Once we sell our house here we will begin full on looking for home in the area. We may rent a few months when we first arrive but we are excited to get settled again in a home. Glad to know you like the area!

Thanks for your suggestion on my "I Thee Wed" design! I think lightening the stripes really did help :-) Sometimes you look at these for so long, you lose sight (ha!) of what your eye sees first. Thanks for the fresh perspective!

hey, lori, oh yeah, I always have something to say! I just think in that one, the type defines the place, but it's interfering with the recognition of the icons and that could be instant. I am not sure you even need it. Good luck!! your submissions are always so fun!

Lori, Thank you for the sweet note! So glad you are not deleting that design! Don't! I love it. All your work is awesome. I actually decided to change my designer name (no more sweet ollie :(... now you are making me wonder if I made a good decision!) so right now I'm just using my actual name as my designer name. :)
