Hi, I'm Melanie, a Canadian designer and mother of three. I started designing as a hobby for family and friends several years ago, and have never looked back! I try to create pieces that are not only pretty to look at, but evoke emotion and/or thought. My work aspires to achieve that (im)perfect balance between whimsy and elegance. I am inspired every day by the beauty in our surroundings, and by my husband and three wonderful kids!

Gosh, it's a race, isn't it?? You think of an idea, and it's rush, rush b/c you want to get it in...I've been working on that all evening - even broke out the finger paints, thinking that would work (it did not). Hi Melanie, I just wanted to tell you that I was just informed that a design recently submitted to the Deck the Halls challenge is very similar to a design you created, which is already being sold on Minted. I just wanted to say that I had no idea this was the case before I submitted by design. I hope you do not think I was copying you, because I swear this is not the case. I will take my design down ASAP and try to rework my concept a little, then resubmit it with a new look. Sorry for the mishap. I truly did not mean to offend you. If I have, my apologies.
