I try to create designs with the belief that everyone's big day, whether it is your wedding day or the day your child was born, should be shared and celebrated in pretty, modern, and fun style. No worries at all Lehan! That's why I didn't post it in the comments - I never want take away good energy from an already perfect design with a subjective suggestion. :) And I don't think I'll be able to whip-up a decent gingerbread house illustration, or a burnt one - that's funny. Maybe next year! I thought of it as we were traveling yesterday and knew it wasn't going to happen. I just enjoyed seeing that we sorta think alike. :) Have a great day & week ahead!

I seriously love your gingerbread house design! :) I wanted to suggest adding just a little dusting of snow around the bottom two corners to make it a little more festive.... I don't know if it would be too much or not?? You'll know best. :)

Congrats on your win, too! I was so disappointed at first cause I didn't see my name on the editors pick list and it wasn't in the (top 20) winner's list either. But when I re-read the email much later I saw that they picked the top 30! I never had a design rate in the top - yay :-))

Hi Lehan, It was just brought to my attention that a design I entered into the current birthday challenge was very similar to one of your designs. After taking a look, I immediately removed mine from the competition. I am so sorry and hope that you aren't offended. I truely had no idea & feel awful. I was actually focused on texture & creating a layout that wasn't too predictable. Boy, did that go wrong! :) My original sketch had the title text above an angled pattern and throughout the process, I changed it to a knockout. I sincerely had no idea I was designing something so similar to yours. Again, I'm sorry.

Lehan - I just submitted a design to the Head over Heels challenge, "Portrait," but then looked through Save the Date Photo cards already for sale to make sure my design wasn't too similar to any of them. I noticed your "Simply See Through" design, which uses the same Bebas font and the even the same couple - is this too similar?
