Laura is a lover of letters, color, paper and art supplies of any kind. For more years than she cares to count she's been a freelance graphic designer of social expression products. She started to paint several years ago to create art that wouldn't be subject to art direction by committees. A workaholic, Laura often has to be pried out of her studio by her family, who are also her biggest fans.

Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
Laura, your holiday entires are lovely! I am really enjoying your hand-lettering. It is divine!
Loving your holiday work - your lettering is gorge!
Laura- loving the canvas entries for the West Elm Challenge! Awesome work!
Thanks for the compliment Laura, but you have some truly amazing holiday entries! Don't ever think you shouldn't try!! It's going to be tough for anyone to get noticed in these challenges, there's just so much good stuff! Best of luck to you! :)
Ha! Thanks Laura! Trying to be done but keep finding things to tweak. Its driving me crazy :)
thanks so your super duper comment on my floral frame, Laura!
Hey, fellow Laura! Absolutely do not remove your design!! It's lovely and I've actually had this same issue before (I accidentally created something similar to and similarly named as another designer). I wouldn't think it was an issue at all if our first names weren't also the same- that might be confusing to voters. I wrote to Minted to ask what they think is best, but I think a simple name change should do it. DO NOT delete something so lovely!
Thank you so much for your kind words Laura! I am so behind on getting back to everyone but it really meant a lot to me. I squealed out loud for you when I saw that you had gotten one of the special awards! I am so happy for you and it was so well deserved!
Hi Laura, I didn't realize it was so close to the edge! I've updated my design, thanks so much for your comment!
Laura!!! Congrats on your "Cool Colors Award." Joyful Reindeer is such a beautiful and well-deserved win!!

You're very welcome!! Good luck!
Hi Laura, thanks for your kind note! Of course when I see a design that has so much potential, I have to speak up. that's what the community is all about! thanks for listening to my ideas and good luck in the challenge!
Thanks for the congratulations, Laura! You are always so nice and supportive. And congratulations to you on your editor's pick – wonderful design!
Huge Congrats Laura !
awww, thanks, Laura! More wins for us, indeed! This is so addictive - when you lose, it makes you want to submit more to win; when you lose, it makes you want to submit more to get more wins!!! :)
Thank you Ms.Laura for the compliment. I appreciate it very much :) Have a swell rest of the day.
Ms. Laura I love all of your designs! It's really great. I wish you luck on the thank you card challenge. Continue to have fun! :)
Yay Laura!!! I just your post on the forum - sooo happy for you. Huge congrats on a well-deserved pick! :)
Congrats, Laura! You must be thrilled!
Congratulations, Laura! Which one is your pick?? :)
Yeaaaaa Laura!! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!!
Congrats on your first pick! :)
Congrats Laura!
It was! :) You'll have to let me know if I succeeded...
I really appreciate that, Laura. :) If my design had been a little more different than yours, I'd probably have kept it up. There are a bunch of similar designs in each challenge so I think it's always a gray area. PS: I really like all of the pieces you've entered lately!
Hi Laura, I thought about it a little bit more and I'm going to remove mine. I'm more comfortable knowing that I don't look like a copycat. :)
Hi Laura, thanks for the note. I'm pretty sure mine was the 3rd one up, so I think the protocol is to ask each of you if you'd like me to take mine down. Carol said she's ok with me leaving mine up (and I think yours too), but I'll defer to you about mine since mine came after yours (and since ours look similar). Out of respect I can remove mine if you'd like me to, just say the word and let me know before the deadline tomorrow. :) Thank you, —Sarah
Hi Laura, thanks for your nice note. My design was up on March 4 but it is different from yours and Sarah's. I don't think you need to take it down.
Hi Laura! I had no idea that my "shake rattle roll" design was so similar to yours. I think you uploaded yours a day before me, so please let me know if you'd like me to take mine down and I'll have no problem doing it!
Thanks for your sweet comment, Laura. It made me smile. Also, keep up the great work. Your designs are adorable! :)
Hi Laura – no need to thank me! I saw that you were a little frustrated iawhile back (in the forum) & I'm hoping that you're having a better experience. Glad to see you're still around. I know you have a win coming soon! My husband and I are both originally from Kansas. He grew up in Lenexa. We still have lots of family in K.C. Actually, one of his cousins has worked on/off at Hallmark for years. Stacey Asbill Eisile... have you guys ever crossed paths?
hey Laura! "entwined rings" is my favorite of yours in this challenge -- love all the delicate details. hope that you do well!
Thank you for your feedback. that is very helpful. lori
