Laura is a lover of letters, color, paper and art supplies of any kind. For more years than she cares to count she's been a freelance graphic designer of social expression products. She started to paint several years ago to create art that wouldn't be subject to art direction by committees. A workaholic, Laura often has to be pried out of her studio by her family, who are also her biggest fans.

Hey, fellow Laura! Absolutely do not remove your design!! It's lovely and I've actually had this same issue before (I accidentally created something similar to and similarly named as another designer). I wouldn't think it was an issue at all if our first names weren't also the same- that might be confusing to voters. I wrote to Minted to ask what they think is best, but I think a simple name change should do it. DO NOT delete something so lovely!

I really appreciate that, Laura. :) If my design had been a little more different than yours, I'd probably have kept it up. There are a bunch of similar designs in each challenge so I think it's always a gray area. PS: I really like all of the pieces you've entered lately!

Hi Laura, thanks for the note. I'm pretty sure mine was the 3rd one up, so I think the protocol is to ask each of you if you'd like me to take mine down. Carol said she's ok with me leaving mine up (and I think yours too), but I'll defer to you about mine since mine came after yours (and since ours look similar). Hi Laura – no need to thank me! I saw that you were a little frustrated iawhile back (in the forum) & I'm hoping that you're having a better experience. Glad to see you're still around. I know you have a win coming soon! My husband and I are both originally from Kansas. He grew up in Lenexa. We still have lots of family in K.C.
