I’m a designer turned illustrator and artist with a BFA in graphic design from the University of Kansas. I started my career at a greeting card company, but decided to freelance when my daughters were born. Many years later, with an empty nest, I now try my hand at many creative projects, including painting and jewelry. I'm hoping Minted will be another successful endeavor and look forward to meeting other Minties and creating designs that Minted customers will find meaningful for their needs.

Thank you for purchasing my design. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy the time and process of carefully creating each piece.

Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
Thank you Ms.Laura for the compliment. I appreciate it very much :) Have a swell rest of the day.
Ms. Laura I love all of your designs! It's really great. I wish you luck on the thank you card challenge. Continue to have fun! :)
Yay Laura!!! I just your post on the forum - sooo happy for you. Huge congrats on a well-deserved pick! :)
Congrats, Laura! You must be thrilled!
Congratulations, Laura! Which one is your pick?? :)
Yeaaaaa Laura!! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!!
Congrats on your first pick! :)
Congrats Laura!
It was! :) You'll have to let me know if I succeeded...
I really appreciate that, Laura. :) If my design had been a little more different than yours, I'd probably have kept it up. There are a bunch of similar designs in each challenge so I think it's always a gray area. PS: I really like all of the pieces you've entered lately!
Hi Laura, I thought about it a little bit more and I'm going to remove mine. I'm more comfortable knowing that I don't look like a copycat. :)
Hi Laura, thanks for the note. I'm pretty sure mine was the 3rd one up, so I think the protocol is to ask each of you if you'd like me to take mine down. Carol said she's ok with me leaving mine up (and I think yours too), but I'll defer to you about mine since mine came after yours (and since ours look similar). Out of respect I can remove mine if you'd like me to, just say the word and let me know before the deadline tomorrow. :) Thank you, —Sarah
Hi Laura, thanks for your nice note. My design was up on March 4 but it is different from yours and Sarah's. I don't think you need to take it down.
Hi Laura! I had no idea that my "shake rattle roll" design was so similar to yours. I think you uploaded yours a day before me, so please let me know if you'd like me to take mine down and I'll have no problem doing it!
Thanks for your sweet comment, Laura. It made me smile. Also, keep up the great work. Your designs are adorable! :)
Hi Laura – no need to thank me! I saw that you were a little frustrated iawhile back (in the forum) & I'm hoping that you're having a better experience. Glad to see you're still around. I know you have a win coming soon! My husband and I are both originally from Kansas. He grew up in Lenexa. We still have lots of family in K.C. Actually, one of his cousins has worked on/off at Hallmark for years. Stacey Asbill Eisile... have you guys ever crossed paths?
hey Laura! "entwined rings" is my favorite of yours in this challenge -- love all the delicate details. hope that you do well!
Thank you for your feedback. that is very helpful. lori
Laura, your submissions for Head Over Heals are each unique and appealing, giving me the feeling I can breathe them in and enjoy them. Good luck in the challenge.
