Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
Kori - did you read the latest from Minted in the current challenge? You no longer need Photoshop - the drop shadows will automatically be added to your file upon upload (or at voting time for the current challenge). The new instructions are in teh latest submission kit. So don't run out and buy Photoshop!!!
Oh, yes, that's probably the problem. I think the psd files would also open in Photoshop Elements, which would be a less expensive option than the full Photoshop.
Kori, there is the illustrator template for designing to the right specs but then there is also a photoshop "submission image" template. Are you using that one, too?
Hi, Kori! Maybe the fact that your background is showing up as black is obscuring the drop shadow? Make sure you put a solid white rectangle behind your design in Illustrator (or InDesign) before placing it in the Photoshop template file (.psd). Also, make sure you are placing your file in the layer called "Your Design Here." Good luck! [Also, I noticed you have me picked as a favorite designer - you may be the first to ever do that! I'm flattered. :)]
