Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Kim Dietrich Elam proudly claims the west side of Cincinnati as her home. She is inspired daily by her two young children and the fond memories of her own childhood adventures and travels.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
Hi, there! I am honored that you chose artwork by me to hang in your home. I hope it will make your wall happy! Kim
Hehe - love that you broke out the fingerpaints :) And no, I hadn't started on it yet (just had the idea jotted down but no work done on it yet). Another example of great minds thinking alike! :) I think yours turned out great.
Thanks for your help on my christmas bloom design, Kim! I tried the dotted border around the whole card but it gets a little lost at the bottom. Maybe a thin black border inside the white border around the photo will help bring it all together?? I'll work on it some more tonight :).
Thanks Kim! That was my favorite too :).
Hi Kim! Thanks for your feedback on my Pure Noel design. I posted a few color options and would love your feedback when ever you get a minute. Thank you!!
Hi Kim! I'm so glad you can finally get onto my profile. You have always supported my designs and I've always looked forward fro your advice. Love your work!
I love the purple and red combo too ;) It would look nice with the photo too since that's what the kids are wearing. You could always do one and just stick in the comments section lol. I think a purple/gold combo would look awesome too - but that could just be my christmas day lakers game tradition calling lol. The great thing about your simple designs is that they can be any color at all. I really need to learn to simplify and be more like you :)
Eeek! I certainly hope so, Kim! Thanks for letting me know :)
i am on facebook, Kim. My computer wasn't working the past 3 weeks. Minted was my first stop once I was back online!!! haha. I just posted on your page. I use my maiden name online. It's a long story! :o)
Thanks so much Kim! Congrats on your feature as well!
Just saw your the Meet A Mintie on the homepage...CONGRATS!! How exciting. So nice to see a "new" mintie featured.
HI Kim, Well I just saw your fabulous nursery print for sale and while I don't think it will matter I didn't realize you had named it "laurel" or I never would have called my recent one "sweet laurel." It doesn't look like mine will get legs so no worries but wanted to tell you. Great job--it will have mass appeal.
hi Kim- thanks for your nice comment - I always love seeing your concepts and designs, so appreciate your nice words. And I see that you are the featured Mintie - congratulations on that! Woohoo!
hey, I just saw your are the featured Mintie today! Congrats you're a star!
It's your turn to be featured Kim! Nice to see you get the exposure on our homepage.
Hah ha! I saw the design on your Facebook page and didn't even realize the voting is closed : ( I'm so out of it! Any hoo, I hope that design does well even without my vote : ) enjoy being a star for a week!!
hi featured designer!!! nice to see ya on the homepage :)
Hey great - You're the designer on the homepage! :o) :o)
Thanks for letting me know, Kim! How exciting - you are the featured designer!! :)
thanks for the head's up, Kim! Hadn't seen that and that's pretty cool!
Not only got it but have forwarded to every one I know...thanks Kim. The little heart strip is modified bellaccia (sp?) and I like it too.
Thanks for the kind words on 'Yo Ho Ho', Kim! I was shocked to be in the top 20... never thought that would happen! I think you're next with the wedding showers challenge. :)
Thanks Kim for ur comments.. You will rule the bachelorette party one with ur fish net.. LOL
hey Kim, did I miss an announcement about the editor's picks for the Modern Art prints? Couldn't find anything here, but thought I'd ask you. I saw you congratulated Oma and I felt out of the loop. Thanks!
Thanks, Kim! Very much appreciate your note! :)
Thx Kim :o)
Hi Kim! HUGE thanks for helping me get my foot out of my mouth.. i am so glad you understood what i meant and really appreciate you backing me up. talking on the web is fun but very frustrating at times, and your point just doesnt come across the way you intend sometimes.. and my use of sarcasm doesnt help that;).. Thanks!! ( thought i would come here instead of continuing the thread.)
Kim, Thanks so much for buying my cake notebooks!! That is such a compliment. Not worried about commission -- it's enough for me that another designer picked them to buy!
Hey Kim - do you have insight on what the Wedding Art and Signage challenge entails(my inexperience talking again:o)?
Thank you for your suggestion it made a big difference.
I'm sorry I didn't look before, but congrats on Laurel getting an editor's pick!! Such a sweet design : )
Congrats, Kim! Hopefully, this made your day!!
Hey Kim, thanks so much! I'm happily surprised and thankful! I hope your day is going better than before : ) With 3 kids, I know how those long days can be. Have a great Easter!!
Kim, I appreciate your comment. I had no idea my design was so incredibly similar to one that is already being sold on minted. I never thought to look at what is already for sale. Now I just feel silly. I will take it down ASAP! I feel awful...
Thanks for kind words. And I did update my design!
Thanks, Kim - yeah I was pretty surprised and excited when they emailed me to tell me! :)
thanks kim, that was so nice to hear!
Hey thanks Kim. I wanted to mention that you have some powerful good submits in the wedding party challenge. Good luck and thanks for all the good feedback and advice. Sue
Thanks Kim your so sweet!!
Thanks Kim - I will play around with the scale of the type. Good call, good eye!
Thank you, Kim!! I felt I had to say something since it was getting out of control and reminding me of a public stoning : / So thank you for reassuring me that it was okay what I said : )
You made me cry!! That is by far the nicest comment I've received from someone in a very long time and it came at just the right time! Thank you a hundred times over!!
Thanks so much for the warm welcome, Kim! It's great to have a fellow Cincinnati mintie friend. I just got a chance to check out your work, and I love it! I'm still smiling from your "sole mates" card and your latest binary christmas cards are also favorites of mine. I'm always impressed with designers who can communicate so much personality and wit with restraint in a clean/modern aesthetic, and I see that strength throughout your work.
Thanks for your suggestion, Kim! You're always so helpful :) I think I rectified (at least one) color solution. I had tried the solid colored background & white design thing as you suggested prior to my initial upload, but wasn't finding a way to make it look good. It's a kind of "light" design and I just felt that it was overpowered that way. I'm hoping to find a way to bring multiple colors in! I still think it's a work in progress but definitely getting there!
no prob kim! I wasnt sure if it was or not but there has been so many on that site..
Kim in the forum we were talking about this shop on etsy and i was looking through it and i found a knock off of you AND design.. heres the link http://www.etsy.com/listing/81786275/ampersand-invitations-choose-your-colors look at the forum post too.. you might want to contact minted.. this person is a serial copy cat
Hey Kim - Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I loved your entries in this challenge. I think we both started really entering Minted challenges at the same time last year - and I remember being newbies together. You have come so far, and your newest designs are amazing! You've got some real winners in this batch :)
Hi Kim - I just finished voting and had to send a note to let you know your entries in this challenge were fanstastic - awesome work!
Ha! I wish I just whipped it out like that... I've got about 10 different lingerie illustrations and it took me forever to figure out which one to use and how to make it work... I kept wanting to use *all* of them, LOL :-)
Hello Kim, Thank you so much for the nice comment, it made my day ^^
Kim, I left a comment on the corset design but I never know if people get them... I just wanted to say thanks so much for your comment! totally made my day! :-)
Oh yeay!! Glad I could help! That design stood out a lot to me - definitely had to let you know. I second guess myself all the time - and it makes such a difference to get the feedback :) I would TOTALLY send out your design myself... if I were engaged ;)
Thanks so much for the sweet note Kim, it made my day. You have such a positive, encouraging presence here in the minted community. I was just looking through the designs for the latest challenge and I LOVE risque initial, super clever! I think you will have some more wins coming your way:)
Thank you so much for your helpful tips and encouraging words- I really appreciate it! It's so nice to get fresh eyes on my designs!
Hiya Kim! I love Risque Initial, and I really think it has the potential to be a winner! I've got my fingers crossed for that one! I have to say, your designs are getting more and more awesome with each challenge! I'm sure you'll be seeing more awards, soon! Keep up the great work! I love your positive, never-give-up attitude, and I think all of us in the Minted community benefit from your sweet, upbeat personality!! Have a great day!! :)
Hey Kim. I removed the fill from the letters on my Bridal Shower Bliss. I am not really a fan of it, but I would love your input. At the moment, I think it looks just to busy and I might just stick with the words " bridal shower." What do you think? Thanks.
thanks Kim! appreciate the feedback. I am going to sleep on it and approach with fresh eyes in the AM.
glad I could help at this bleary-eyed time of night! I put up one design tonight. Feel free to critique. Not sure about the shadows. Tacky?
Hi Kim! Thanks so much for the note on my first editors' pick :)! Very sweet of you!!
Hey Kim! Thank you so much for leaving such nice comments! I'm so sorry your designs weren't selected - I do know how that feels : ( Don't let it get you down, your designs were truly great for the baby shower challenge and I REALLY hope Droplet is your big winner!! I love your gracious attitude... that's a huge win in my book : ) Yes that was cheesy, but I meant it ; )
Thanks so much for your note, Kim! Best of luck to you in the Children's Art and Baby Shower challenges - I have high hopes for Droplet especially - it's genius! :)
Thanks Kim. You know I was practically done w/those little flowers when your message made me take another look at them and it worked. Thanks again.
thanks, Kim! Nice to win once in awhile!
Hi Kim ~ I'm so excited for you; your shower invitation ranking was amazing! Do you know if 760 "likes" is a record?? Wow! Can you take a minute and look at this one: http://www.minted.com/design-rating/53214 I like the top (the two lines coming together) but am wondering if I should use all caps or a different font? Thanks! :o) Any other suggestions welcome
Thanks Kim you are so sweet!! And I hear that Chuys is expanding (I've got a friend on the inside - haha) to other states so you might see it sooner than you think! Love your stuff, by the way! Great work : )
Thanks for your comments on nautical flags. I thought it was a fun ideal especially for a nautical theme. Thanks again, Linda
hey! thanks for your feedback on my "Typographic Umbrella & Raindrops" :) I love how people are so helpful here! I'll definitely try something in the browns and see how that flies verses the current gray look. :D
hey Kim, any time. We're here to support each other, right, and you've lent me a hand so many times. appreciate it! good luck!!!
Oh don't worry, Kim! I didn't think it sounded like you were pressuring me at all! I know your character, and I know you wouldn't mean what you thought I might think you might meant. Whoa, did that make sense? Anyways, no worries, mate! :)
Thank you so much for your kind & helpful comments on my design. Suggestions and critique are always welcomed on my end so I appreciate you taking the time to write that out. I will definitely play with everything you brought up! I knew when I submitted it that it was a little "off", but needed an outside perspective :)
Hey Kim! I'm really liking what you have submitted for this challenge so far!! Great job!!
Hi Kim, just wanted to thank you again for all the advice. I'm very new at this and it's nice to know that I have someone to check in on me and be so helpful.
ha! thanks for the comment. i noticed that typo after submission was closed. you are good at catching that stuff!!! my daughter usually will find those errors and let me know... she missed that one ;)
Thanks for your sweet note on my profile, Kim. I really appreciate it. You are absolutely not the one lacking talent, either. And I know I need to submit a WHOLE lot more in order to ever get a win. I just have a tendency to get overwhelmed and intimidated very easily and I really need to work on not feeling that way and just put myself out there. Again, thanks! :)
Kim, I just realized you have a design for sale called 'Dashing.' I currently have one of my family tree designs called 'Dashing Tree.' I'm going to go ahead and change the name of mine!
Aw, Kim... thanks so much for all your positive comments. These wins and "losses" can be real highs and lows. Your suggestion for the shoe lace poster is SO smart! Thank you for going out of your way to think of me... it really means a ton. Congrats on all your great work lately! Keep being awesome. :)
Oooh that is a good theory about editors picks. I'm excited to hear more about their storefront idea. I'm hoping I have time to make it into their next conference call.
Love the etch-a-sketch idea!!! And now I really want my own mini one lol. There should be a few online versions of etch-a-sketch. Pretty sure ohioart.com has a flash application and if you sign up for an account you can print out your sketches :) Can you tell I do a lot of babysitting?
Aww thanks Kim! I was kinda bummed I didn't get any picks I really liked my notebooks entries this time around but oh well more for the "need to post to personal website" file :) And I love all your comments! Stalk away! I wish you could make to the NSS this year so we could chat for reals lol.
Thanks so much for your input - the flag idea is brilliant!!! I think I'll re-work it that way when I get a chance - thanks!!! :)
Thank you, Kim! Appreciate you taking the time to help! :)
hi Kim, just got your note. I am bummed for you, but I know that idea will resurface again because the concept is a viable one. the struggle is part of the journey, right?! cheers, carol
Thanks, Kim! I just found out through your post!
Thanks so much for your comment on Heaven! :)
Thanks Kim! I was so excited about my wedding invites :) I ended up with four color ways only because I'm crazy indecisive and couldn't bring myself to cut one lol.
I was just having a look through all the new wedding designs that are available on Minted now. Sole Mates just cracks me up! You executed that so well. The whole collection is just great.
Thanks Kim! and congrats to you as well!
Thank you so much for your sweet note. Congrats on your win too! Double fudge cake tonight :)
Thanks for the nice note, Kim! I just keep chugging along!
congrats on your win, Kim! I am telling you, you are KILLING It lately!
Dear Ms Kimberly, Congrats on your win. Funny I could tell it was a winner but not so lucky with my own which is what makes this so challenging. Keep up the good work Kim.
awh, thank you so much Kim! : D
Kim, I was sooo happy to see your Sole Mates wedding invite in a Minted e-mail today!! If you didn't get it, e-mail me and I'll forward to you. I know I like to save them because they display our designs so nicely. Congrats!!
Hahaha! You're the best Kim :) I think a robot family tree might just be the thing my crappy week needs to cheer me up hehe
Ahh, just got your note... not so good about checking my profile page. I know what u mean about "working" on a direction. My winning designs have been the ones that I put the very least amount of time into. But we learn and hopefully improve along the way :) Keep up the good work!
Hey Kim, I just wanted to thank you for alerting me to the fact that I'd uploaded a design for a guy. Haha, I felt pretty silly that I was thinking this was also called mom, dads, and grads. D'oh! Thanks again and best of luck to you in the challenge! -Anna
Thanks for the note Kim! I was bored with my name and needed something fun :) I'm glad you stuck with the 'smart' note - it's elegant and well done. I love it when it something you're about to give up on suddenly comes together. I love your work... it makes me happy :) Sunny side up is sizzlin! ;)
I so love your work!! Thanks for the sweet note and encouragement. I really really hope your Sunny side design gets picked!! xoxo, m
Thanks again Kim for all your helpful comments! -Rachel
Thanks for your response in the design critique thread! I do have to check the border spacing. I run CS3 (I know, I'm so for behind), and this template dropped out all the guides for some reason. :/ Anyway, thanks again for your helpful eye! -Jill
thanks kim for your helpful comment!
