I did read through it, I didn't see anything about the photos. So, what types of photos should I use in the samples? I can't use stock or personal, the photos used are from shoots I have done with others. Thanks for all the help!

Hi Kimberly, thanks so much for the helpful comment you left for me. As a newbie it's good to know there are nice folks out there willing to help :) What do you advise? Should I just leave the clanger mistake up there and note that I've seen it or change it and loose my comments and likes? What would you do?

Thanks for your vote of confidence in my design, Kim! There were lots of great designs so I guess we'll have to what until the end of summer to see which ones were actually selected. I guess I can't be too upset if my design wasn't selected since I can use it for my own shop (if it's not selected for the minibook challenge either). :o)

I wasn't contacted by Minted for my "Peace Pieces" design for the holiday card challenge so based on some information in the forum (that Minted would be making all their design requests by the end of this week), I assumed that it wasn't picked and free to reuse for the current challenge. But I'm glad to hear that you liked the design. Hopefully, it gets picked up for the minibook challenge. :o)

Hi Kim, no problem! I think you expressed yourself really well - probably much better than I could! My guess is that people are hesitant to say anything unless they are from one of those cultures. I know what you are saying though, I sometimes wonder what people think of my forum posts too! I'm trying to design a Diwali card and am having the same fears as you! I'm guessing that in most cultures, there will be some who prefer a traditional theme, and others who are open to a more modern interpretation. So for a Lunar New Year card, some may prefer Chinese characters, but others may be fine with the English phrase, particularly if they live in the US. Oh boy, sorry for this long post!
