I'm Eric, a self-proclaimed design geek with a love for type that's rivaled only by my love for cake. I've been a designer in the magazine industry for the past 12 years but spend all my free time on Minted challenges! I discovered this site in 2011 while hunting down inspiration for designing my own wedding invites. Since then, I’ve had a renewed love for design and enjoy seeing where my creativity takes me.

Thank you, Eric! I had no idea about the special prize until you said something! And congrats to you too! Your road map print looks like it shimmers...the light on dark just feels so right and reminds me of all the slow shutter streaming light photography of roads at night. The print would be cool anywhere, but I was thinking that it would be particularly awesome in the office of a civil engineering firm.

Hey Eric! I just started submitting pieces for the wedding design challenge. I went through to rate other submissions and I couldn't help but notice that a bunch of the ones that I loved had your face right next to them. Just wanted to stop in and give you props. Amazing work. Your use of fonts is incredible. Where do you get your font files from? Thanks for doing what you do, keep it up!
