Hi! I’m a designer currently living in New York City and I love all things design and stationery related. I have a degree in graphic communications and have been in corporate design for over ten years, but what really keeps me going is creating awesome art for this wonderful community of Minites.

Dear Customer,
From,
Please write a short statement about where you call home and what inspires you as an artist. (Limited to 275 characters or less). This note will be displayed to customers on the product details page of your art prints on the Minted website.
Sample: Annie Clark approaches her art with a graphic designer's eye. A long-time resident of the Mission in San Francisco, she is constantly inspired by the diverse color and texture of her neighborhood.
Currently living in New York City, I’m an artist who loves all things design and stationery related. I have a strong background in corporate graphic design, but what I love most is creating art that makes people smile.
Please write a short note to customers who purchase your art prints. Every Minted Art Print will come with a special folded card that includes your picture and a thank you from the artist, adding a special personal touch that helps customers remember you and your artwork. This is separate from the Thank You Note above and is important to position the art piece as a high-end piece with credibility.
To help us prepare your special card, please make sure that the image of you on the site is a photograph, not a logo, and please draft a thank you note to customers, limiting yourself to 150 characters. No words will be added to your statement, so your statement should be written in its entirety, including your name. Please do not include your contact info or a URL. This information could create confusion for follow-up customer service.
Sample: Hello! I am so honored you chose my artwork to hang in your home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have in making it. Best to you, Annie
Thank you so much for purchasing my design! It brings me joy to have created something special for someone as awesome as you. All the best, Dawn
Thanks for your super nice comment, Dawn!!! Just hoping for a shot this year! (aren't we all?!) :)
Hi Dawn! Thanks so much for the additional help about the background, at last it is better.
thank you!!! I'm really new at this so I've been following a generic line until I figure things out a little better.
Thank you so much for catching my typo, Dawn!!
Thanks, Dawn! I was thinking plum/gold and navy/gold for the other colors. When you are untrained, you HAVE to simplify to be able to do something good! So, I guess I have an advantage there... :) I'm still thinking about that font - I don't have Learning Curve, but I'll try some others...Thanks!!
Thanks for the feedback, Dawn! This is the one that inspired my daughter's purple and red card - she hates the green! I used her purple and red combo in my other entry - Joy Underlined (she made a face at that one b/c it didn't look like hers1)
Hey, Dawn - just stopped by to check out your chevron thank you design...I love that one! I think I may have recognized that one as yours.
Hi Dawn, I would absolutely love your help with my Celtic design! thank you so much for offering : ) Can I send you an email with some examples of what I have been working on to give you a better idea.. I know that my rambling did not make much sense : )
Thanks Dawn! I am going to take your advice regarding my script thank you card :)
yay! Thank you so much for your help. I am very new to hand lettering but wanted to give it a try. I wasn't sure if the grey was visible but glad to hear that it was. Thanks again! :)
hi Dawn- Thanks so much for your honesty... I really appreciate it. So I made one more attempt with this font... will you please let me know what you think? If still no good, I'll move on to another font :). Thanks!!
Hi Dawn- Thanks so much for your feedback on my floral burst design. I adjusted the font... any better or do you think I should choose a new one? Thx :)
Ha! sometimes she begs me to post for her .... I know the feeling :)
Ok, now it just came up that David left you the message. Argh! Odd. Too many browsers open. Again, i can't thank you enough. Made his day!
Hi - my husband David just left you a message but it came up as me : (. Thanks for taking the time to give him a big welcome. I've been talking about Minted for months now and this is the first challenge I can get him involved. I think his work is great (and I get to use his camera gear for stuff I want to shoot, not a bad deal!) - fingers crossed!!
Hi Dawn, thanks so much for the kind comments, its my first time posting here - so i appreciate you taking the time to drop me a note of encouragement... david
hey dawn! thanks so much for your comment on my 'Winter Cityscape' :) i'll look around for another possible font alternative than 'Albemarle Swash', really appreciate you taking a look at my design! <3
Missed your work in the last challenge, Dawn - get out your holiday hat and put some winners up! :) BTW - doing that Etch-a-Sketch thing was trickier than I thought! Well, to get it to look good, anyway...still thinking about it! :)
I will definitely check out ohioart.com - thanks for the tip!!!
And, I have a theory about the fewer Editor's Picks here lately...I think they want us to have something good to sell on our Minted storefronts when they launch sometime this year...if they select ALL the good stuff it costs more money up front and makes the storefronts less viable...is this a Forum question?
Bummer that I won't be there...sounds like a great time! So, I decided to add "knotes" to my Etch-A-Sketch (in my photo)- would that look cool? Except I cannot replicate Etch-A-Sketch writing (I tried), so I think I will dig out my daughter's mini one tomorrow, so I can write it, photograph it and trace it...it seemed like a such quick and easy project when I thought of it...
geez - it looks like I'm stalking you...I better stop writing!
Tough crowd tonight...can't believe Fantastic Notes didn't get a pick. I love that one!
well - they all look great! You really did a fab job of creating all the pieces - they are each wonderful on their own! I, personally, find that a challenge with some of the extras...
Just checked out your Infinity & Beyond invite for sale - love your whole suite!! It looks stellar. So, do you have 4 colorways b/c someone has already ordered a custom color?
They are happy little guys...hope your week gets better! :)
Robot family tree? :P
Thank you BIG TIME for the thumbs up on my A Happy Hello!! It means more then I can even begin to express.
Thanks again Dawn for your help! Your awesomeness goes to the moon and back ;)
thank you! it's feeling right, now. Must. Go. To. Bed.
thanks so much for your feedback on byline, dawn! If you get a chance, I would love for you to look at the various attached versions on the submission and let me know what you think- thanks again! -sara
Hi Dawn, thanks for checking out a couple of my entries and for your comments! Appreciate it !! Stop by any time and good luck in the challenge!
You, go, Robot Girl!! Wahoo!
Hello Dawn! Thanks so much for the help and comment. I already size down the font for a few points. And it is better. Many thanks to you again & god bless always.
You are very welcome! Best of Luck, it turned out great!
Thanks for your note, Dawn. I know how you feel...sometimes I'm too close to my work too. Stepping away from a design for a few days really helps. And I'd love to sell you a couple of journals! Let's keep our fingers crossed that we both have new ones for sale! :-)
Thanks for your comment on my journal design! I think you're right. I changed the font color and its definitely more readable! I appreciate your feedback!
Looks like we'll have to "take over the stationery world" on another challenge...better luck next time! ;-)
can't wait to see what robot birthday party design you've got cookin'...
and, your comment just made me think of Pinky and The Brain..."what are we going to do tonight?" "what we do every night - try to take over the world!" yep, every night - soon the stationery world will be ours - Muah ha ha! ;-)
Thanks for the love, Dawn - you're awesome! :-)
Dawn - Thanks again for the Lost Type site suggestion. What a great site!!! I want to download everything!
Congrats on your win Dawn and loved your "Wedding Vinyl" entry :)
So glad your "Wedding Vinyl" entry to the Head Over Heels challenge won! I was a big fan! And those robots are just killer. Love it! Congrats!
Congratulations on your Ed's pick for Infinity and Beyond. Those robots.. too cute!
more like a pitcher. of the good stuff. serious :)
eternally grateful to you dawn! the heads up on wedinator, them linking back here by request so brides could find it (5 w/in a couple days!) is literally 100% of why it got in... cannot thank you enough dawn!!!!
Indeed - the world cannot have too many cute robots, and 50 sounds good!
of course, I only have picks, so I guess my 5 is less than your 5 already! ;-)
Dawn - congrats on your latest picks! Wedding Vinyl and Infinity & Beyond are awesome - you're not doing much to get rid of that Robot-girl title, though! ;-) And, now, we are tied at 5...that is, until you blow me away in the Art challenge!
Thanks Dawn for your sweet comment on Amelia Bearheart :) I was actually going to revise it yet AGAIN! Appreciate your feedback and loving your robot submissions!
ROBOT ART! ROBOT ART! ROBOT ART! :-)
You just pushed it up to a 100 watts with that Hebrew spelling... you're the best Dawn!!!
Thank you so much for the heads up Dawn! Had no idea, and was happy to see that although the title of the Wedinator section was about destroying the day of your dreams, that You In or What managed to come out with only a few thumbs down and assorted critique on how crazy the couple is to have their wedding in 2014 (little do they know it's b/c if minted chooses it, it'll not be live till 2012 :) oh and "Isaac" is the proper spelling. OOPS ;) Thanks AGAIN for being so sweet to forward this, brightened my day!!
and I also expect some robot art....
Go for it, Dawn! I've been messing with it, but can get it to work to my liking - and what a pain to d oeach letter!!! Good luck to ya...I'll leave mine as is, unless yours is totally different! :)
thank you Dawn for your helpful feedback! You affirmed what I thought about that one tangerine and the "reception" font. For some reason when I exported it seemed HUGE. Anyway, thank you again...and lovely work!
Hi Dawn, thanks always for your helpful comments! I wish I were loopy!! ;-) Carol
Hi Dawn, I can feel joy in your work and it brings a smile! Love your Head Over Heels submissions, best of luck in the challenge.

not joking about the congrats, though - CONGRATS!!! ;-)
and, I hope you know that I was joking - I got that from your forum post...
Big congrats, Robot-girl!! ;-)
Dawn...I made the suggested change on my Love is in the air. Would you, could you...please check it out to see if I am on the same page with your thoughts?
Dawn!!! You were the first to come to my rescue and I am much appreciative of your efforts. My Love is in the air is my fav too and you are the first to comment on it... I agree 100% on my Love Story.... I am taking both back to the drawing board. If I can return the favor...please, please let me know!!! Thanks again!!! You are my hero!!
